So I've been toying with remote explosives. I try to rig objectives. But everytime, they get seen and fluxed. So I ask, where do I put them? On the floor? The walls? Up high? Down low? BTW, on the null cannon, you can throw an re into the corner behind you and it glitches through it, but it still explodes.

Basically, you can't place the RE so that it won't be fluxed.
But many people just go for the hack, be they in a hurry and forget to flux or out of nades or without looking. And that's when you detonate.
Although there have been/is? places where the RE glitches so you can't flux it. But I've encountered it rarely.

Sorry, I ment where can I put them where the enemy is unlikely to see them? Where do you put yours, and how often do they work?

On the bottom, that way people typically won't see it. Though it should be noted that Remote Explosives can been dectected by Active Scanners.
Though I've noticed that people rarely flux objectives during PCs...

Sometimes there's a wall directly across from the hack panel. I'd imagine with Adv or Pro remotes, the blast radius would get them all the way from that little wall.
Like on the bridge map.
Oh, and you can also put them *behind* the hack panel on some specific objectives. Namely the ones inside buildings.
Unfortunately you're going to have to live with the fact that people with situational awareness will see your little trip mines.
I absolutely hate that I'm giving you this advice seeing as I'm always on the receiving end of REs... they tend to be very effective around corners and at the top of staircases, etc. where the enemy can't see them until its too late.
Or just frisbee them.

See I find the best place for RE's is at the feet of some sniper, or that heavy chasing me down. RE's have such better than just hide them in anti flux places. |
