A clock tower is a very good place to start. You have a 360 vantage point, limited entry into the tower, and a strong defense from any direction. Idd have a fortified anti acid coated bunker underneath the house that is submerged in said Molecular Acid, each entry point would be rigged with a trapdoor leading straight down into the acid pit and i would let the lights on and doors open for anyone to enter.
