Forge Guns are for AV. I'm fed up of them being used against infantry (especially by campers).
Give them a dispersion like the tanks got, that way they can still hit vehicles but not be used as a sniper rifle.

If they got dispersion they'd be useless for shooting vehicles at range which is what they're meant to do.

Only blaster turrets got a dispersion and missile turrets where never that good against infantry but rails are still as accurate and deadly as ever against infantry. As for forge gunning infantry i rather enjoy sniping fools with it that think they are bad ass enough to shoot at me from a long distance and believe they are safe from me. Im more than happy enough to kill tanks with my forge but i will be damned if im gonna just sit there and take pot shots from some noobie shooting at me from 125 m with an assault rifle and not show him the error of his ways. Shoot at me with your infantry class and i will shoot back. With that being said learn to compensate.
I snipe in the redline because i know it pisses you off

It hasn't been updated, look at the Rail gun nerf. It was intended to be mid range. It used to say mid range on the old descripiton years ago. The new description doesn't mention range

Loads of weapons have a chgarge time and your screen practically lights up red for you when it it is aiming at an enemy.... You don't need a cross hair (unless your bad).

A half decent player isnt affected by your last two points. I could kill 20/30 per game with it if I wanted too.
4 round mag.... 4 possible kills before reload. Putting a clip into a proto heavy isnt enough with most other weapons before reload.

Well weapons have charge time yes, but typically its fractions of a second, so its pretty hard to make that comparison.
I guess my point being that I feel the Forge being used as a sniper against infantry has enough downsides to merit its advantages. Speaking from my personal experience, I don't feel like I get Forge Sniped enough to really consider it a problem, but that's a matter of opinion.
I just wanted to clarify a few things so I understood your viewpoint better. |

It has been updated, it used to have a range of around 600 meters like the rail turret and was nerfed at the same time as the rail turret if I recall correctly.

To be fair, you can't trust the description on any of the weapons. Hell the 'Toxin' SMG implies that it does damage over time. I think there was another one I looked at recently that was completely wrong....I forget offhand though. |

The max number of kills a forge gunner can achieve in a match are less than other weapon users. In addition, there are plenty of counters to a forge gunner on a tower.
High powered snipers, Caldari heavies can rep through the cheap stuff.
Rail tank using a hill as cover.
Inexpensive HMG drop.
Scout sneak attack.
Wear out ammo with assault drop ship, then go in for the kill.
Orbital strike.

I don't camp with my forge gun, I run up point blank to scrubadubs like you and give you FORGE FACE. By the way I don't stack armor on my forge gunner.... in fact most Legit Forgers don't stack armor because speed is needed to get in position.
Forge guns were made to dig through nearly impenetrable mineral deposits, they should be able to blow a hole clear through you.
