Okay say I was rocking a scrambler rifle. +20% vs shields(35% with scrambler skill) -20% vs armor
how would 10% weaponry skiill. 14% 3 complex damage modes.
with all that what would the damage vs sheilds be vs armor? lets use the STD scrambler rifle for this. 65 damage.
Edit: I know charged shot does 3.5x but we don't need to factor that in yet. |

Multiply the raw damage by your damage mod multiplier.
Then multiply it by the damage profile multiplier.
14% damage mod increase with a 65 damage shot? That takes you to 74.1 raw damage.
Vs shields: 88.9 Vs armour: 59.3
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

Shields: 108.81 Armor: 64.48
So it would almost negate the shield pen to have this build then? |

On a side note that scary for most shield users. o-o 380.835 vs shields fully charged not including if you manage a head shot. Yes but armor would lol at you.

Well I can generally get about 5 more shots on a heavy before he sees me. So 322 armor hp... ya they wouldn't really be too hurt. Unless I was backing up a few of my guys with a long range barrage to weaken him. |

1st Mod = 5.000% 2nd Mod = 4.345% 3rd Mod = 2.855% 4th Mod = 1.415% 5th Mod = 0.530% So no, you're not getting 14% bonus to damage with damage mods, I'd stop at 2 and put something else in your high slots.

I will admit I'm not 100% sure so if I'm wrong, please someone correct me.
But basically you want to apply all skill bonuses first, so if you're using commando add the +10%, then break it up into the Armor and shield profile, then apply proficiency.
Shield Damage = (X * 1+(0.1+0.2+0.15) Armor Damage = ((x * 1+(0.1-0.2)
So now you have your base vs shields, and vs armor damage. Then you apply the damage mods to that. Again that's my understanding of how its calculated, but take it with a grain of salt.
EDIT: You know actually doing a calc I think I'm totally wrong haha. |

I'm curious, did they ever remove that +10% damage they gave to handheld weapons after the uproar of them removing it from the weaponry skill? I can't recall if it was a magic 10% or if it was just added straight to the weapons.

Well yes and no. There was no sweeping 10% reduction after they gave it to all weapons, but many weapons have been reduced by a similar value since then. |

Hmm they're pushing them back up a bit huh? Can't say I'm a fan of that but we'll see how it goes.

It was in the Protofits. i assume its correct but I am new and I could be makeing a dumbass mistake trusting it. idk. just load up a caldari proto assault and you can fit 5 on it. then scroll to the weapons on that left side panel and it shows a break down of the mods if you hover over the damage. |
