Back in the day, when PC wasn't a complete joke as it is now, corps didn't have time to be mercs. How people got battles were holding land, and taking land.
MOST big corps back then didn't get paid to fight another corp because it was one alliance vs another. Your generalization is wrong. |

Your generalization is wrong. why do you make it sound like big corps never had contracts? While in reality the big corps are the ones that got hired a lot by little corps that needed help.
You must be new. Small corps didn't really exist when PC started... I should say, they were there, but their alliance made up for their size. Perfect example was EoN. A few of those corps were relatively small, but the alliance came together and help.
It was only months afterwards when alliances and donuts were firmly established you saw merch work. Mostly out of boredom. TP were one of the first true merchs in PC. STB paid them to protect their planet from NF. So again, generalizing a concept that wasn't there from the start.
There were MANY big corps, but that didn't mean they were good enough to be hired |
