I skilled into calscout day one of 1.8 after the first few matches being shotgunned in the back by invisible scouts. This was well before the cries of calscout being Fotm and before majority of the community knew about its potential at protecting its squad mates.
Yes I am very unhappy that what I skilled into and the purpose of why I skilled into it is being changed and moved to another race because CCP does not want to invest money into having a client side change to remove shared passive scans from the game.
The reason I'm not in uproar about this is because I'm kinda excited about the new bonuses. I think it's hilarious that people cried about the amount of shields that a cal scout could have though most builds with the pre Charlie hot fix, individuals were adding at least two precision enhancers cutting down on their primary tank. Now your going to see a lot more calscouts who will be invisible rocking max tank because why the f u k not? Sure precision mods could be useful to pick up a few weak build scouts but true scouts will be building their suit to be as close to invisible to other scouts as possible making the need to hunt other scout, now a non priority for the calscout.
Now I won't turn down a respec but I won't be asking for one either. GG community

Just look what happend with the release of 1.8. Bang, right out of the gate with proto Cal scouts with inherent skills and we never once saw what the progression was like for new players (which should be the main focus) or for players seeking to start a new role.
Bottom line: Your Cal scouts are still fulfilling the same role, only at the expense of more modules (which you should have anyway) so ultimately there is no grounds for a respec. Amarr scout is indeed getting the bonus but the suit itself does not lend itself to that role, so it isn't going to be the hunter you want. It will only be easier to be a casual scout hunter for any prey stupid enough not to be dampend like most should.
Actually the amarr scout with two precision enhancers will practically be a mirror image to the "typical" calscout pre Charlie. Not 100% but Damn near close. With the adjustment to passive bonuses, all scouts will be able to be completely invisible to each other and the focused scanner built right and cloaked.
