Same module layout as Gal Logi. Pretty sure all the stats except the small HP buff are the same.
I just don't see where hipfire accuracy with an assault rifle is useful... in fact it needs more dispersion for when the enemy tries to strafe away from your bullets. That bonus really is not my style, especially considering the AR isn't exactly a killing machine at range like the CR and RR are, in spite of the recent buff.
I don't need a sidearm that badly either. Not when my racial weapon is UP.
IDK, I just checked and I guess an extra 200 eHP compared to the Logi is pretty good, but I'm still not convinced. I've had a long and battered history with the Assault Rifle getting nerfed right after I skilled into it... and I just don't trust CCP enough at this point to skill into Gal Assault yet.

Commander Noctus wrote:I love my Gallante Assault. Sure, the bonus isn't great, seeing as the plasma rifle is already incredibly stable, but it makes strafing and shooting accurately all the more easier.
Don't get me wrong, I do want to see a different bonus on it though. Also, as noted before, the Assault is actually made for slaying. I'll be damned before I turn my Logi into a slayer when the Assault is there to (come Charlie) do the slaying job properly.
But when I'm at a closer range, especially against scouts, that dispersion actually helps me kill the scout. Dispersion is like an HMG. A lot of bullets spraying all over their body is better than a lot of bullets shooting in a straight line, and missing at closer ranges.

Put together a loadout with 900HP, roughly 8.5 m/sec sprint and proto fine rifle. If you don't think that's good, then you're either trolling or you're mildly ... nevermind.
I know of something that can do the same exact thing except much better. It's called a Gal Scout.
To be honest the Amarr is the best assault... that overheat bonus is just great, I've tried it on one of my characters. That's why I'm saying there's no reason to skill into Gal Assault when I can almost do just as good with the Gal Logi, and all the other suits I could pick are just so much better, probably even Gal Commando.

You would first need to alter the functionality of the CR or RR to allow for the suit to compensate for one aspect of the weapons profile.
Well I'd argue the Min has a good bonus, but it's just too damn squishy... the only way that suit will ever be good is if they give it EWAR or something like shield regen...
Hell, I wish I had the patience to use the Amarr Commando, but already having a heavy that's Amarr is kind of getting boring so I'd like to switch it up a little bit.
If they buff the Assault my choice is definitely between the Caldari and Gallente, since I spent all that time running the Caldari Dragonfly Assault with the Toxin Assault Rifle it would kind of make me feel like I did back in the old days of Dust. Except a lot less weak.
The thing I don't like about skilling into the Amarr is their laser weapons are really good but... they're not an in-your-face kind of style. You could kind of bring the fight a little closer to the front line with the Commando but again, I'm not sure it's the style for me.
And I'm completely up against the wall when it comes to Amarr Scout. Looks like it's shaping up to be the next FOTM but the lack of dampening and low speed isn't very attractive. I'd honestly rather go with the invisibility Gal Scout offers.
