As suit eHP begins to compete with LAVs,most everyone has forgotten something rather important.
The number of bullets it will (and currently does) take to kill a 1000 eHP dropsuit.
My suggestion: +1 deployable equipment carried per level
As a logistics exclusive bonus,suit wide.
This would allow logistics users to use more wallet friendly gear on a more affordable suit to play consecutively as a support logi.
This would increase the amount carried only,the amount deployed wouldn't change.
Was banned for fighting for logistics survival on 7/25/2014 02:11. Logistics will never be respected.

I think he means that the number of equipment slots stay the same, just the number of 'throwables' increases.
Hotfix Delta is going to be fun to discuss for logis. |

This idea is...
Not completely idiotic. And it discourages slayer Logi'ing.
However, it becomes unbalanced when combined with things like triage hives, and redundant with drop uplinks which have a set number you can deploy before they despawn.
It also has no effect on certain other equipment bits, and makes Remote explosive loadouts truly and utterly obnoxious. |

but yes slayer logi is a problem BUT with assaults getting UP TO 1600 EHP that will be a nessesary to have slayer logi cause otherwise with our stupidly low EHP we just couldnt compete against assaults which are medium class.. hell we can barely stand against scouts and mediums and heavys already.. we die to assault-scouts and rifle sentinels..
IF anything logi needs a buff to EHP and ALL logi need to have sidearms+grenades as it will take that much to chew through the Hotfix Charlie Assaults(FOTM)

I like this idea, especially as being a universal across the logistics class. I'm reading it as a buff to total carried, not deployed, so yeah, you get 7 r9 links(for ex.) but still can only place the normal 2 or 3 at a time. The buff comes in as the squad changes positions or the previously deployed equipment is used up or destroyed the logi has the reserves to replenish them, versus the other classes who once they deploy their gear, it's basically gone.
I think something like this with another adjustment to equipment fitting costs (adjusted upwards) will help better distinguish active logistics play from other classes' equipment use/spam.

This should be the point of ANY and all discussions about Logi adjustments. We are combat support first and base stats/bonusing should reflect that. That doesn't mean we should be denied lethal capabilities, just that our stat/bonus set is defense oriented. I SHOULD be able to kill , based on my own ability to make it happen ( in other words SKILL) under the right conditions. Conditions like, say, I'm at range in cover and a target is in the open OR I've been able to flank OR that heavy that killed my heavies is almost dead (my heavies got his logis) and just needs his coffin closed. Tactical/GUNGAMING skill should be the carrying element here, not the stats or bonuses. Which goes back to having stats/bonuses for survivability/job execution.

I will push hard 4 suit locked equipment and expand the carried, not deployed, is something i'll push 4 logis only. But have to wait charlie to deploy first. End equipment spam must happen

Currently logistics has 30 more eHP than their racial scout. Yet are slower than more heavily tanked assaults or even basics.
One of these things need to change.
Since logistics has more in common with scouts,i'd suggest a speed + regen boost + decreased size hitbox.
Less armor,as proven by scouts,should make you harder to hit,not slow you down to make you easier to kill (a logistics exclusive flaw).
Currently logistics suffers the penalties of scouts (low eHP),and of heavies (low speed). All because people believe that logistics must suffer so another class can be more appealing.
Then they expect you to stay within 20m of the frontline with a rep tool,and ammo,all with gimped survival at usually 2x the costs.
This is horrendously broken. And any rebuttal always equals a tl;dr of logistics is supposed to die easily. If you respond "why should i be so easily killed when my suit has the most responsibilities?" The only response you'll receive is "because (insert excuse here)" No real reasons just excuses.
