Lock vehicle to owner. End of story no downsides. Still have no idea why this is not done. One main reason I do not use vehicles. |

1) leaving a vehicle unintended in the middle of a warzone is just asking for it to be taken 2) Why do you need to bring ammo for the infantry, your role is to drive, not support 3) Team Killing is not a solution to your problem, you are just using it as an excuse to troll the blueberries
a more elegant solution is to have 3 separate locks, one for the driver seat, one for the side guns, and one for the passenger slots. that way you can make it so that only you are allowed to fly, only you squad is allowed to gun, and anybody can take up the other slots.

The main reason I don't EVER fit a small turret to my tank is because I cant control who jumps into my vehicle. On maps where ground vehicles cant rearm without calling in a new vehicle because of inaccessible supply depots I would expect a blueberry to remain in my tank/steal while I jumped out to recall it so its not an option. Also I jump out of my tank with drop uplinks to help the team but I have to be careful to make sure no blueberries are near me as I have had my tank stolen more than once.
LOCK VEHICLES TO SQUADS. So simple and I find it hard to believe we are still waiting on this feature. If its not in 1.9 I'll be upset but not surprised.
In the next patch CCP how about you do separate polls for vehicle and infantry players. You wanna earn brownie points with different parts of the Dust community just poll us with which bugs we'd like fixed or additions made. Thank you DEVS for 1.9 btw.

Dude, tell me about it. I'm sure CCP has the stats on who are the full time tankers and you've just brought up the issue about not being able to choose which position the small turret goes which is an annoyance to every tanker. Why don't they just ask whats needs fixed? While were at it how about the option of being able to remove the turrets on the faction/Aurum tanks? I wanna run round with a cool cammo tank, id even consider playing caldari FW if I thought the LP tanks were any use to me, but because I cant remove turrets I don't bother.

I do too more often than not I'd rather not waste the extra 102K ISK on my frontal turret that no one uses, or wants to use, as I would prefer to simply have the option to press a button and effectively enter use of a co-axial turret.
More over I would love the option to early even a place holder for the Amarr HAV in Amarr FW..... but that aint happening despite my requests for racial vehicle parity for the better part of 10 months.

No matter how many rants, complaints, feedback threads, suggestions or cries were made, no useful changes will truly happen. Devs and community alike, if we were all at least semi-competent in improving this game, there wouldn't be scouts. The guns wouldn't still be high precision no recoil super weapons that usually kill people in a 3 seconds and down as a time average The way you strafe wouldn't kill you, but save you. Everyone's strafe wouldn't be a 30 mph left and right side step. We wouldn't be sprinting at the speed that's far less than humans move, yet strafe faster far faster than humans do, and a standing commando would not have an advantage over a moving player medium suit and down. There wouldn't be a kill assist registering glitch that has existed for more than a month There wouldn't be the superiority hierarchy prototype gear followed There wouldn't be invincible sentinels There wouldn't be the issue of suits being vacant of armour regen that stunts or survivability/increases dependence on modules. There wouldn't be all of this if sci fi gamedevs tried to properly apply warfare in an FPS and their community decided what would really work and tested it.
It's reality being the average nuisance it always was.

It really does suck when the drive off with no clue how to use any of the modules or properly drive the vehicle.
Last Weekend's Amarr FW Sync had a very entertaining commentary from me as I narrated my experiences and death at the hands of a Tank Thief as I gunned for him.......

1. LP fitted tanks suck - get rid of the prefitted small turrets! 2. Perhaps allow automatic lock in pubs and none in FW/PC? (A less secure environments suits the feature better)
