Seriously though, I was really hoping the Charlie sentinel nerf would take care of this nonsense. Turns out it just makes sentinels need slightly better core fitting skills. On the plus side, with the assault buff I'll survive an extra 1.25 seconds against a STD HMG Really? So hotfix charlie is out already? |

Whoa now!? How 'bout we give balance a chance before going crazy? Broken things can be fixed; they don't have to be *yanked. * Notable exceptions: Vehicles in ambush, Manus's peak, CalMando's colorscheme, LLAV If you think about it, there is no tactical point to heavys. All they do is walk around and gun down anything that moves without even needing to think about how he should gun down anything that moves. Getting shot isnt a problem for them because all they have to do is turn around and that person dies. It dosnt matter if they can be scaned, they have more than enough ehp and dps to blow away anything. Nerfing heavys wont work, they will wine there fat a**es off until there OP again. So just remove them already.
You obviously have never played a heavy. I wonder if you are one of the newbs i chew up and spit out on a regular basis because you charge headlong at my heavy.
Here is the thing there is a very definate advantage and drawback to at least the base stats of all the suits. You want speed? You want a scout suit its fast but its lacking in ehps. You want something somewhat fast but not paper thin? you want a assault suit. You want to have a slugfest and mow down people at close range? You want a heavy you will get ehps but you are slow.
Want to take out a heavy. Its a breeze engage out 60m or more or be a crafty scout and take them out with a sg or nk or maybe a combination of the 2. The "tacticle" point of a heavy really are 2 possibilities. 1 move in behind the assault suits and help clean out an area of stragglers 2 point defense and call for help when needed.
I myself have been gunned down multiple times from a smart opponent engaging outside my optimal range and strafing me to death. |

Sentiniels are cheap and easy way to get point. They spam them. While 70% points are in towns, you cant engage at range. Cus max distance you engage them is 30meters.
So stop telling us that heavy is a good thing. And i can say that Heavies killed this game more than scouts. Its called and angle learn to use them. Even in most towns or compounds there are ways to engage at a distance. I know because the SMART players take out my sentinal suit on a regular basis by using angles to get a shot at me from further out than i expect. Also when all else fails you can always use a grenade. I know its a foreighn concept but grenades are a great way to thin ranks when you need to move into an area. Learn how to cook them well and you might even take out a few suits with 1 toss.
It really isnt like sentinals are OP or very hard to kill you just cant engage them in cqc and expect to win. You dont hear me complaining about snipers taking me out from afar with their scope and being so far out of range all i can see is 1 pixle of them. I dont complain about that because that is their role. Complaining about a heavy being effective in cqc is very much the same ridiculous complaint. Should i start to complain about scouts being OP because they run faster than me? |

Exactly. So why not just remove heavys and nerf scouts already? Using your logic why have more than 1 dropsuit type? It would make balance so much easier to obtain to just have 1 suit. Heck why not just 1 weapon also? Make it a really level playing feild everyone only has 1 option. O ya lets get rid of that pesky skill system also because that can provide an unfair edge also. |

If we pulled every item that was ever OP, all we'd have left is Assault Suits, Plasma Cannons and a few really sh*tty sidearms. Well we'd also have the Commandos. Let me be more clear. I'm not saying remove heavys because they are OP. I'm saying remove heavys because they serve no tactical point in a game all about tactics. Point defense you say? Anyone can do that, infact scouts can do it better. So a heavy *can* do that! Nerf the scout and a heavy most definitely will do it better. I think they do now anyway, but you debate that point and that's your prerogative. It is moot when you consider that scouts too are OP. If we manage to make a scout a scout again, and create some sort of penalty to balance them both (perhaps in the shape of an assault suit that will mess you up in groups), then heavies will fulfil a tactical role. Do you not remember pre-1.8? Do you not remember AR-514? We're going back to that....now with added HP. I remember ar514 Lol I still have proto ar because of it. Back then running a heavy with proto ar was amazing. I had just about everything except speed. I had great range great ROF good accuracy and good ehps. I could take out nearly any suit within 100 meters.
Now its all about the rail rifle. |

The nerfs in Charlie are going to make it so that you need 9 million SP now instead. Thats it. to be good as a scout even with a scrub dragonfly bpo suit you need to cloak and tap r1 occasionally. At least you can easily see and hit the heavy though. |
