That doesn't bother me near as much as the trolling to be honest. If they want to hide in a corner like a little ***** that's their business. What drives me up the wall is the faggots that troll:
1. The ******* that calls in a tank at the start of the match and proceeds to smash into any dropships and LAVs he can. I'm not talking when tankers accidently smash into an LAV or an LAV is coming around a corner too fast and runs into a tank, that's absolutely understandable. I'm talking about the guys that watch their teamates call in vehicles then proceed to ram them.
2. Faction Warfare TK hazing. Again, not accidental friendly fire but when people are either intentionally handicapping your side for the other or just awoxing cuz it's cool. Left a corp for that, I advocate people having fun and not just always FOTM chasing, I'm a huge advocate of whacky builds like myrofibril stacking punch builds and what not but use it on the other team.
3. The guy that takes my LAV for a joy ride. I don't want you in my LAV when I set up to blast away at the objective or shoot at enemy AV. LAVs are actually incredibly good and can get tucked away in a corner away from the vulnerability to everything that can shoot up that the Assault Dropship has, not that I'm knocking the ADS it still has superior maneuverability and survivability. Most people wouldn't know that LAV turrets are actually quite good because there is always some ****** that will jump in your LAV and drive around like a madman ruining any chance for you to shoot something. Sometimes players jump in and actually know to stop moving, but they still lack the reaction times to saving the gunner and the time setting up is often far outweighed by the slow reaction to the gunner taking fire. In other words, just please stop getting in other players LAVs if they are sitting alone on the turret. They don't want you being their chauffeur, call down your own LAV if you want to go joyride. If this was halo where you have to climb out and into the different seats that would be one thing, but since you can teleport around, there should never be more than one person in a LAV unless it's acting as transport.
4. The guy that shoots at or punches their teammates in some effort to mime something. This one isn't a big deal and is just a pet peeve. If I can drop ammo for our team I will, and if I want to snipe from a perch I will. If you want to get the main hack bonus you should of got there first. Go do something productive like kill the enemy team.
5. Last but certainly not least, the guy that keeps reviving me into enemy fire. This shouldn't be a thing that we can't deny a respawn if its going to just lock us out from playing when two people decide to WP/Kill boost.
Edit: As a side note, sometimes I want those guys to hide though. I'm talking the guys that go 0/16. They just hurt your team. |

That is pretty much how I play. If we need av I'm the av, if we need logi I'm the logi, if we need a heavy, I'm the heavy, etc. etc. Majority of the players will spam one fit over and over regardless of whether or not its useful in the current match. |

I don't put the nano stick on suits unless it's coupled with a repper on a scout or logi. Problem with the nanostick only is that unless its at least adv the amount of armor it reps is probably just going to lead to a lot of suits dying shortly after again. Its okay on minmitar and Caldari but armor tanking with Amarr or Gallente are more popular and on them the nanite injector usually ends in frustration. |

As long as you are willing to accept that you are scrubbing it up when you do that, by all means go ahead. Can't stop people trolling, can just remind you of how useless you are being. I'll be sure if I ever see you which I don't think we are in the same region anyways, I'll stear clear of you. Could give you a ride but obviously being a blueberry deters people from helping you.
Edit: That comes off as more aggressive then I meant it to be. What I mean is essentially "As long as you are willing to accept the consequences." The only ones I actually mess with are the tankers anyways that run over peoples stuff. I then follow them around in my own tank and shove them into the enemies redline and bump them upwards when they are trying to aim at things. I've gotten a couple of them killed that way. |

that said.. i just had an excellent game not too many vehicles nor proto punks or even scrub cloaky scouts and.. not even a redline sniper to be seen!.. and it came down to each team having like less then 5 clones left and 1 single bar each on MCC armor.. damn good round!.
Pretty much this, I hate the games where literally one tank or dropship wrecks your team because your teammates figure if they ignore it, it will go away!
I blame the overwhelming amount of bad advice that was good in beta but continues to get perpetuated. IE the new guys are pumping cores, (Which isn't a bad idea), and then pumping one fit to proto (Which is a bad idea), so for months they are literally useless in 90% of the matches due to inflexibility.
Rushing for dat +400 ehp and dat 3% less dispersion and 2% more damage on dat proto weapon isn't going to help when the scout shotguns your face off, heavy mows you down, or vehicles blasts you to pieces. This is 95% of your enemy, so you should skill accordingly. Besides nextt hotfix your proto fit my blow chunks anyways.
At this point, with you at 2mil SP and your opponents at 50+ mil sp, versatility = specialty. |

Beastlina wrote:This is all well and great if you have a lot of sp. If you don't, not really many different fits you can make. And please don't tell them to use that **** militia av fit that can't kill a decent tank even with 5 people.
I'll give you a fit that is roughly 2.7k isk and if enough players use it IE 5 it will blow apart any vehicle in no time:
Step 1. Pick out your favorite militia heavy suit. Step 2. Fit it with one militia heavy damage mod and some militia rep if you can. Step 3. Put a militia forge gun on the fit. Step 4. Put a militia smg or scrambler pistol (whichever you prefer) on the fit. Step 5. Slap on some AV grenades if you can or just don't worry about the grenade slot (Not a big deal) Step 6. ????? Step 7. Profit!
or for those that don't like fatties: Step 1. Pick out your favorite Light or Medium militia suit. Step 2. Fit it with whatever modules you feel will help you whether it's speed or survival. Step 3. Put a militia Plasma Cannon on the fit. Step 4. Put a militia smg or scrambler pistol (whichever you prefer) on the fit. Step 5. Slap on some AV grenades if you can or just don't worry about the grenade slot (Not a big deal) Step 6. ????? Step 7. Profit!
If you are fighting dropships stick to the forge gun fit as swarms and plasma cannons are useless against seasoned pilots.
The problem that newberry av has is as the person I quoted astutely pointed out, militia swarms are garbage. Don't use them, in fact don't ever use swarm launchers unless you are packing the proto launchers. Swarm launchers are pretty useless in their current form and because of their auto locking potential the most absurd weapon to balance. In the past when they were stronger, they rendered vehicles pointless, so there isn't much that can be done without hurting av/vehicle balance.
So I'll reiterate, when someone says use av, they specifically do not mean your ****** frontline/militia swarmer. They actually mean the other av options that exist even to someone with no sp. For balance reasons your militia forge/plc isn't going to ohko vehicles (Because my proto forge would **** all vehicles if the militia variants were potent enough) but since anyone and I mean literally anyone can fit a militia forge or plasma cannon there is no reason a focused assault couldn't wreck tanks. If players were not so lazy tanks would never stop QQing until all forms of av are abolished. Why? Because tanks are massive targets that when the players aren't brain dead, will get focus fired to death as long as av is viable.
Versatility is key, I use militia gear plenty to great effect, it's laziness that leads to teams getting rolled by a single tank or drop ship. And if the enemy team spams vehicles it only makes sense that half your team would spam av, but I rarely see people think in matches with their brains and just spam the same fit over and over.
It's a compounding problem when your team doesn't use its brain, because at the end of the day, 3 guys thinking real hard will get trashed every time if their 13 teammates pick their noses the whole match. It happens time and time again. |
