I'd definitely either downgrade the sidearm or change one of the energizers to a recharger, so you could fit an extra shield reg in that new low slot you're getting. And it's unquestionable now that you're going to need a shield extender instead of a damage mod. Oh and by the way? They can't even afford to fit a grenade now.
Anyone skilled into Cal Sent willing to weigh in on the situation? I want a respec.
You could get 729 shields, but at 50 rep rate, my assault has 600 shields...cal heavy needed a buff, not a nerf...

Actually I just found out all the sentinels are losing a slot across the boards. You're losing a high slot. Yeah, I'm pretty much quitting this game because CCP stealth nerfed heavies. Don't amarr get 4 highs?

You know what I'd do with a respec? Dump it all into Minjas and lol knife everything. That would just be like, the biggest rush after being a SLOW, HEAVY, EASY TARGET FOR 8 MONTHS. No... Melee everything. That's what I'd do. It really is fun.
But, get an assault asap, proto the crap out of it.

I needed 810 shields and my 50 rep rate just so I don't get instablabbed by the armor heavies, who could have reps btw, and I have to have relatively low hp for a giant hitbox to get hp/s.

you arent losing a slot, its being changed, caldari will have an extra low so you can fit some armour or whatever you want to it. Which. Is. Bullshit. Amarr are primary armor tanker, 1/4 Caldari wre preimary shield tankers, yet 3/2 Wtf, and same layout as minmatar.

I need 1 more level if dropsuit electronics aka 744k sp to get it which needs to be toned down btw. I gues I'll use an adv weapon and gimp myself further in cqc... the burst isnt meant for multiple targets though. its been redesigned to destroy single targets, particularly targets that are being repped. so im thinking itd be good for popping in and out from behind cover. its keeps you out of the line of fire while dealing extreme damage with each burst. itll be interesting to see how it actually hndles when charlie finally hits release Which I hope is no later than next week.

During the slot layout discussion (40 pages), we were debating the "universal" matrix, and the fact that 5 slot Caldari suits had differing needs. Specifically the Caldari scout needed 2 slots to be able to dampen properly like the other 3. The discussion went back and forth, and into whether double regulators in low or an armor rep woudn't be a solid choice for CA sentinels.
The final result was to go back to 4-1, and make the CA scout exception to the universal matrix, and footnote it for everyone to remember why that happened. And then we (or I to take the blame) forgot to make that change because the 3-2 argument was pretty good.
All that said and done, we are reverting the CA sentinels to 4-1, effective immediately.

630 base shields 400 armor vs 275 shields and 155 armor, for caldari.
