Ok, so I played a domination game a few minutes ago and it was the bridge map. After the enemy team took the objective my team started sniping from the red line. I hacked the objective and got shot by a Commando Ck.0 with a Thales. I fly up to him in my dropship (he was stupid enough to sit there) and I killed him. I spawn back in base because the timer ran out and I count 7, yes 7 people sniping in the redline. This was my team.
Please CCP make it so that you cannot get any WP or kills from the redline. This is really starting to become a problem when almost 50% of your team is doing this. This is not the first time I've seen this either. It's really gamebreaking when we're trying to fix this game. Please keep in mind that this game needs snipers just like any other role, just not redline snipers. |

I know but you have to agree with me that you should not have to kill your team mates in order to have a decent game. WP and kills from the redline should not be possible

There was 1 Thales on each side. The rest were all non officer sniper rifles. I don't have a problem with a Thales or sniper rifles in general. You assume that they're all using Thales snipers, this is simply not the case. That redline WP and kill has got to go |

The redline is there to protect players, not to be taken advantage of by people who want high reward low risk kills. Therefore there should be no reward for kills from within the redline and killing into the redline imho.
It irritates the living you know what out of me that this problem is not solved. Like I asked before is there a DEV that can respond to this? |

The biggest thing and hardest thing, in my opinion, in this game to learn is to "Know when to hold them, and know when to fold them." I still screw this up sometimes but you will be better off in the long run albeit is less fun. A vote surrender option would be nice but don't count on CCP to do anything more than tweak values in these hotfixes.
What you are ignoring about the 8 bad snipers in your redline.... time and time again they turn out to be just as bad at frontlining and although this will end the match faster lowering the clone count, most players don't want to keep dying and get punished isk wise or in the very least meta wise on kd/r.
The best way I have found to play is to match your team's enthusiasm.
If they are getting into the nitty gritty you get your ass in there. If they are all hanging back just prepare to fail and either sneak around killing lone redberries or hang way back with the rest sniping in one way or another.
As everyone prides about this game, it's a team based and gear based shooter. If you are outmanned and outgunned just accept your fate and join the rest of the redline snipers until the match ends.
You just look like an ******* when you troll your team. this is why they need to remove time based isk. isk should all be based on WP's only. I personally don't care about K/D i just try and try for my team. if i get 1300 WP on a battle where we get rolled over and the next persona gets 500 then 235 ect. which has happenes why do they deserve a reward for sitting in the battle and either sniping or MCC sitting? If i get half or one third of the teams total points i deserve that proportion of the money. i have risked they have not

Please keep in mind that this game needs snipers just like any other role, just not redline snipers. Were they MLT snipers ..??.. because that would tell you a lot right there . Not making any excuses but that's they way it is sometimes . An overhaul of maps or adding some new maps would help . If one is not so exposed during sniping then you wouldn't see so many sniping from the redline , coupled with the fact that most maps are not sniper friendly . I don't have a problem with that , it's beats them just sitting at the home spawn just spinning around or shooting at everybody who spawns and not getting into the fight . Try doing it for a month straight and you will see what snipers have to go threw and I'm not talking about every other match , for a month straight .. every match . That way your eyes will open up and maybe you could advise some new tactic's because most snipers have tried them all but maybe you could shed some light on the situation .
Good question. Most of them were actually Charge sniper rifles or Kaalakiota snipers. On advanced role specific frames (assault, logistics, sentinel, commando). The excuse about the map can be viewed both ways as some maps are not specific weapon or role friendly either. |

And how's that? That proto sniper is still stomping in the redline. Let me say this that I know dedicated snipers that are actually in the field wrecking people and not in the redline. |

Sniper rifles themselves are relatively (to other games) low powered for their class of weapon as is (they did get nerfed and dropsuit EHP did get buffed) and they are definitely a weapon that needs to be looked at, but I think you should concentrate on improving map design to support the role, and then people who fight against stacked squads need to, as a pro once told me: "Git Good" as there are fewer things in dust more satisfying than seeing your kitchen sink team triumph over a team most of whom are from the same corp.
Now I have a unique solution you might not have thought of for dealing with a team of snipers sitting in your redline (as you never need more than 1 or 2 in a single spot)...drive a tank in front of them if they are on the ground, park a dropship in front of them if they're up on a building, just try to obscure their LOS...or you could just play the game on hard mode.
Your unique solution is hurting the game as much as the redline snipers are doing. i'll pass. Also dedicated snipers seem to find the sniper spots fine, however I do think there should be more outside the redline. BTW your argument about a standard infrantry man reaching the sniper's position is the whole point. Most snipers sit in the redline where they cannot be reached but can reach others.
