CCP just wondering if STD gear is meant for pubs or not. In all Logical scenarios STD gear is well suited for pubs because proto is just to expensive. I, on average, make about 210,000 isk a match and that is less than a proto suit. So tell me why do people proto stomp. My squad occasionally just hunts these protos and kills them numerous times, But they still persist.

I don't like standard gear because I like to use variants and I don't get that until adv/proto tier... so ya know.
Gallente scout, heavy, logi, and assault

Because the people who are doing that have probably 10 times the amount of ISK of what you have. So it doesn't matter to them. |

Never look for logic in the chambers of the heart.
By the way, my proto scout (about as full proto as I can make it), tops out at 160k.
K/D(r) matchmaking fixes the whole game. Period. It even fixes WP/D(r).

\Sounds like you're doing just fine with it (although I suspect that you're really not because you started this thread).... So just keep doing what you're doing, save up isk (I played in starter suits in pubs for many months saving ISK), and choose your proto suits wisely....Leadfoot |

for some reason when i use Proto or Adv gear i don't really lose any money and i all ready have a lot of money so im not really trying to make any more.

i could afford to proto, but 99% of the time i do pubs and do well with standard and advanced.

Average payout assuming in top 5 and a Loss: 125,000-170,000
Average deaths against Proto Stomping Team: 12+
Payout Win (unlikely): 44,000 ISK

PRO gear - average cost +120,000 ISK

I like this comparison.
I normally run standards gear and maybe an advanced weapon.
I never worry about kdr in a match and i nearly always make money.
The player base is getting chock full of newbs and i have had multiple matches lately where i have no deaths at all.

Ok I don't have a problem with proto stomp I can hold my own with most proto because my skills are very high. I was just wondering what every one else thought on this. I run a basic RR or Exile most the time.
