A lot of people are still complaining about this? Why? What else can people spend their ISK on? Why would people spend months getting this gear and not use it? And any problems with these guys getting thrown into battles with newbs is due to CCP's **** non-existent matchmaking.
Why are people complaining about it, srsly. What else is there to spend ISK on? (Stupid ideas aside)

Exactly. Usually the difference between adv & proto is so minimal except the price.

No. Shared scans, cloaks, vehicles, stacked squads, etc. Those make bad players good. At this point most can proto out an advanced suit anyways. Proto itself was never the issue.
If strength were all, tiger would not fear scorpion.

Bad players need to blame their loosing constantly on something, its clearly not their playing ability so it must be the suits they are wearing!

I stopped running prototype beccause first off i don't have enough isk. People who are filthy rich just use proto gear because they need to burn off that isk and still have enough to keep on using proto. Also, respecting other mercs. Since this game has std. adv. and proto there's clearly a huge inbalance. If your in an adv. suit and got killed by an all out proto gear merc, there's actually an excuse for that because he had better gear. Why not everyone require in one role and eliminate tiers. Make everyone be in a prototype suit then there is a significant balance. Do anyone agree?

at this point in this game's dying days, if someone wants to run proto, then god bless them. ive never complained about someone having an advantage over me with their super hp on shield and armor. it just made taking them out that much more satisfying.
as far as the proto suits making players better, no that is not the case, it just makes them able to absorb more bullets than normal so they do not die as often. this does not make them good, bad players in proto will still be bad, they will just not be as bad. |

The fact that they are unstoppable in a squad when their suits will always win the other noobs....they're pretty much the reason dust us dying....but then again, that wouldn't be a problem if the matchmaking system worked....plus if we had the isk...we'd all do it at least once cuz winning feels good

The butthurt surfers are always gonna whine if they die to proto just get used to it. If you have it use it that includes proto. And if no one likes it then keep doing it just to **** them off (i do anyways) and watch them cry

But but i feel so awesome taking out protos with my standard gear :) so clearly proto is awesome stuff that really makes of breaks a match.
I love taking out multi million isk tanks with my sica.

Nobody is stopping you from using the Niners or Seahawks.

The little extra a pro suit gives me is put forth to make a good showing of myself. I usually log in when JP:30 is in full swing. 1UP,NS, and such. Try and make them pay, eh? Otherwise it's adv or less depending on the roster.

I have 6 mil in my account and I run BPO and proto. Everything else is just not even worth fitting. BPO when I am just shitting around and proto when I want those speed hacks or to leash 2 heavies and watch them roll over you. Sometimes I even run my proto scout with stupid fits on it just to see how it works out, and my nest logi with a mass driver, 3 nanos and an uplink is just silly. |

It's probably more the fact that when people ask for more ways to get sp and isk from ccp all the vets who already have mountains of isk and sp to run proto are against it claiming it would unfair for all the time and hard work they put in. If they would rather see the games community dwindle because they want to keep what is basically a level advantage, rather than allowing new players a competitive chance then that's on them. Skill helps, teamwork helps, but in a FPS game more damage/hp is a huge advantage. You are killing them faster/living longer in a FPS game. Some mmo players can't really grasp that but it's w/e. |

Am I alone ... the only beef Ive got is cloaking ... not the principle but the mechanics .... its an easy kill tool unless youre attacking head on or got caught out doing youre devilish tricks, the rest ...is minor make a hulk of a tank with 250db show up passively please... alittle too much range on HMG that's it ..... I am a beta vet and there is counters to everything ...sure you got the glichers out there but hell they are a small minoritiy and get found out,,, with regards to proto .... you've earnt it wear it, ... simple .. I personally run advanced as for every ten suits I may lose against 1 proto is simply not cost effective but in turn I will use proto equipment some ppl use a proto gun or nades etc.... what you do with your suit set up is your choice so don't let ppl bully you otherwise ,,, ITS YOUR CHOICE,,,,, new players should not enter the general population until 5mill SP where hopefully they are aqquainted with the game and worked their core upgrades.... RUN PROTO WITH PRIDE .... YOUVE EARNT THE RIGHT |
