Doesn't mean as much as you might think. By then it was essentially free, it was bound to have a lot of people playing. Particularly with the hype train they've been driving.
What will be interesting is how many of those go on to buy and play the final release. I personally have been turned away from it until I can pick it up for Gé¼20 or so, but I'm curious to see how it does in the market.
I am part shovel, part man, full scout, and a little bit special.

The beta was really enjoyable.

Btw thats not a big number. Other OHK style shooters have more players. Its not bad, you just have to be fast and aim well. No op fits to exploit. The balance is incredibly refreshing

pretty easy to do.
announce a new COD title, over hype it with interviews/cutscenes, add gimmicks like phone app, glorified menu screens, add a strong aim assist that can't be turned off, add a "social" area and release a "beta" weekend
watch the numbers role in as the bandwagon grows larger

I would be ashamed of myself. To comment and give an opnion about a game that is in the BETA stages, while the game that your company put out was blocks and colors in BETA.
The game you are commenting on will by far surpass the CCP drivel that you have put out, let alone what CCP has done to the PS community.
I for one dont like Destiny because of its limited potential. But saying that, I do know a good game when I see one.
It just shows the gaul and ego that CCP has within its ranks. I am thoroughly disgusted by your canter.
But know this: You will never have another chance at the PS community EVER to do what you have done.
SONY made sure of that.
Beta on console typically means demo. We wasted our Beta trying to get a link to work. As for what Sony is doing; they're throwing more money at CCP, pay more attention to the business meetings.
Ok Sabre.
If SONY is throwing money at CCP to keep on their game, why would SONY give back money to the PS community? |

Destiny is a 60$ DEMO cause its gonna be F2P at launch anyway
How would that be possible in your opinion ? It's going to sell so bad that a strictly retail based game will go f2p? |

Iron Wolf Saber wrote:Just saying that I know bungie and loved the studio for as long as I was knew their games.
Destiny is the first bungie game in a very long time I felt like was missing the what made it a bungie game.
The game is plagued with many concerns that I normally don't express for games. How pvp is divulging to one method. How pve is divulging to one method. The content rate felt exceptionally thinned. Hub is a confusing mess of a design that begs to be more like mass effect but falls massively short. I have a funny feeling that there is no talking animations and despite having such a large budget it seems they couldn't afford someone's motion capture face.
The art director had to be napping as well or never attended any of the lore discussions nor did any study on urban decay. Even the moon felt wrongfully dated and jarring. Character (PC and NPC) designs are amongst the weakest I seen in a while and combined with what I am hoping to whatever entities are out there is an incomplete tease to lore. (if this fear becomes true I don't know what to say but the tease was a goddam trainwreck; PR needs to be fired) Layout of most of the maps was poorly done and doesn't favor or encourage the various types of game play. There is only 1 class but thats based on the first 8 lvls this I hope is a beta only concern but I don't see how things will differ at end game. Overall I felt that the internal test teams and developers are so full of themselves they don't know how to fail and won't admit when they're screwing up or doing something that isn't vibing right and maybe the long stranded success of halo has made them forget their cores values. The 343 departure didn't take too much talent from Bungie but if what did depart to 343 is the reason why bungie seemed to has lost may have been their lynch pin.
Bottom line; Destiney does not feel like it was worth its price tag nor the cancellation of another game that many more fans where looking forward to that well into development as to not compete against it.
Enough of that I am not going to do a 1001 things wrong with Destiney like I used to do with Dust (but I have plans to resume this for legion)
I figured you out IWS! you've been holding in your true feelings for dust and felt the only way you could just let it all out was to use destiny as cover...I knew no one could be as big of a moron as I thought you were and actually survive this long...
I don't blame you though... all those ccp perks you get is a tough thing to part with when you have nothing else in your life worth living for, I mean does the crackhead call his crack dealer an @$$hole? I should say not... not if he wants that crack.
my sympathies IWS.
this game makes me sad....

pvp is 1st sees who 1st yea...........if ur a ******* snail u have a good chunk of health in Destiny very easy to turn on ppl
Ill never understand ppl fascination with playercount like that makes the game smh having 4v4,6v6,16v16,128v128 doesnt matter if the game is terrible
Lots of ppl argument is "oh i got a big clan i wanna play with my clan mates" then form smaller set fireteams within ur clan dumbass its not rocket science. I have a clan of around 28 members and we have 3 set competitive teams of 8 for Destiny for clan matches and nothing stopped us from squaddin up with everyone to pub regardless of teams
ppl who like to use that are ppl that just wanna zerg with all their members
casually big games are aight but for any kinda organised play big games are some of the most ******** cuz it comes down to alot of zerging and spam tactics.
4v4-8v8 is fine for clan v clan games, anything bigger ppl just start being ******** with how they play and it becomes a joke instead of taking any kinda teamwork and skill

numberz is right, while you dont have your dust carebear suit to give you a false sense of security, you do have enough health to turn on someone who saw you first. i also agree that the smaller numbers actually takes more teamwork as it eliminates the zerg tactics. the old corp battles in chromosome were way more fun than the pc matches in dust in my opinion. then again, i always had good players carrying my scrubby rear

Watchdogs sold that many copies? I expect destiny to beat that. They have the Bungie reputation behind them, and like you said, the game caters to many more types of gamers.

the 8v8s in dust were WAYYY better u knew who was good and who wasnt u had a good mix of skill and teamwork
16v16s came along and thats when a bunch of the dumb **** that scrub teams do to try an win matches fgs on roofs, md spam, nade spam, flaylock spam, uplink spam
everything came down to spam tactics and thts what happens when u start to get too big cuz its much easier to just spam and zerg than to actually come up with proper strats and have all those ppl coordinating together so it devolves into just chaos and confusion.
Casuals like that **** OMG U SEE THAT BIG BATTLE?! u mean the clusterfuck with no sense of direction and just explosions everywhere? yea it was gay

yup apparently Watch Dogs sold over 8M across PS3, PS4, XB360 and XB1 oh and PC think PS4 alone was like 3 or 4M
Destiny should easily beat that imo, i just hope we get private matches at launch so clan battles can take place early

apparently the limited edition is so popular and has had so many preorders that walmart and best buy have had to cancel some of the limited edition preorders due to not having enough stock when it releases. sounds like destiny is well on its way to beating watchdogs.
