Suit>weapons all the time
Weapons barely change between tiers except for range (unless its a SG, NK, FP, MD, PLC or sniper), and suits gain slots which give you exponentially more than 3 extra meters of range and 10 extra DPS.
"Minmitar Scout" and "Masochist" are synonyms.

Well if it a prototype suit your talking about then that proficiency isn't really needed if you use a Cr

Proficency 3 should be the max and you shouldnt spend more SP into it. Its more beneficial to get a new suit, equipment or some core skills up. In my opinion the order how you should spec when starting a new char would be:
-PG+CPU
-tanking modules (shield/armor it depends what you prefer)
-suit
-weapon
-equipment
A basic suit with max PG+CPU will usually be better in the long run then getting a proto suit from the get go.

Choose one weapon you like, max prof 3 on that. now read carefully. In dust you'll have the most benefit from max core skills. Dishing out damage is nothing if you can't take it or recover from. |

Most Light Weapons (Rifles, particularly), Sharpshooter is more beneficial than Proficiency.
Heavy Weapons, go Reload first.
