If you use a Plasma cannon....Mass Driver...Flaylock...or a Forge Gun......then you my friend are a pro..no matter how bad u suck at it....cuz anyone can use an aim assisted Combat Rifle...(browney points if u don't use aim assist on rifles)

Not really, say what you will but it's leveled the field. Almost eliminated chop strafing.
In general it's made the game better for a wide majority of people.
You are not obligied to use it, and for some people, it's more of a curse than a blessing.
Though thank you for implying a Pro simply because I use Non-Aim Assist weapons as well as Aim Assisted weapons.
They call me the Monkey - I like to jump off sh** and piss RE's all over your tank!

my corp mate said aim assist was for pussies
i turned it off, and realized it makes killing scouts harder
switched it back on immediately.
and yes i am a pro with a forge gun. god dude... i think my trophy kill is derrith erador... but then again i've probably killed other good vehicle users as well and forgot about them

Sniper Rifles also have no aim assist, but I think the last time you referenced a sniper you were calling them "tryhards that need a life."

aim assist does nothing good for me... I try to turn it off in every game... Unfortunately some don't have that option (I'm looking at you mass effect, as some **** runs infront of an enemy I'm about to headshot and instead I'm shooting at thin air, helpful.)
You can't actually tell who's using it, so what's the difference, I'll bet most people who complain about aim assist are either using it themselves and getting beat, or just generally getting beaten by people who aren't using it and just assuming they were meant to be some kind of "god" in the game. |

I use to think not using aim assist was noble until the cal scout took scrubbery to a new level. It's literally the only way you can damage them in CQC.
What happened to the repair tool glow?

The real pros are people using kbm with no aim assist. Using a KBM is like using a flaylock with .05 splash damage for me.

Here is why not to use aim assist. Its a crutch. If you play any other game w/o aim assist, you are now at a disadvantage. I turned it off because I want to improve my gun-game, not wreck it. Also, my ScR bouncing from one enemy to the next whenever they got close to each other was driving me crazy. |

Simply stating using AA on a console shooter is a crutch is stupid because all console shooters have it and switching to a pc shooter is so different it doesn't even matter if AA is there or not.

Wait pc games don't have aim assist?
Dam i am much better without aim assist then.. well that or other games dont have LOUSY hit detection. Course i also think its something to do with using a mouse to aim. Especially if you have that rat mouse that thing is crazy. |

I completely agree, those are the only weapons that I am skilled into. All my suits have variations of just those 4 weapons that you stated, I would also add
Forge/ Maxed
Plasma Cannon/ Maxed
Flaylock/ Maxed
Mass Driver/ Half way there
Also Myofibers have been my go to high slot mods for some time and have accumilated more kills punching faces off than I get with any other weapon in some matches x_O
Put all of that together and never wear a single armor plating, EVER.
Then you MUST rely on pure skill, not just point raping EHP and dB and DPS so that you can jump people from behind and miss a whole clip just to have your bricked up armor barely save your assss, People like that get a swift elbow to the temple when they try that around here
