So basically, getting the WP for damaging vehicles isn't actually enough, even thought that is there to reward you for forcing vehicles to disengage rather than forcing you to kill to get any WP?
Dropships often run after the first hit because they are incapable of actively tanking (ie, they have insufficient EHP to stand and fight, which is fine by the way) so they leave to recuperate and come back from a different angle. In other words, you're complaining that pilots running away (to live to fight another day, essentially) is allowed.
No. Quit your bitching. The flight ceiling is safe from all but other dropships (ie, and Incubus's hunting grounds) just like 100m into the redline is safe from pretty much everything. There is no reason to change thks?.

Flight Ceiling isn't safe. It is an area that is still in the burnzone: I fly a fighter-style Incubus often and hunting A/DSs is my role. DSs at the flight ceiling are dead meat for me at that point.
Can everything get at the flight ceiling? No, of course not and I'm not trying to say that they can, but people claim that the flight ceiling is somehow better than the redline...when it isn't, it's just different. And really, your suggestion was awful.

Except they're not the only counter to themselves: all forms of AV can fend off or kill a DS, the only thing a DS can do that AV cannot is threaten others at the flight ceiling. Except for suicide dropping on stuff in the redline, nothing can threaten far enough into the redline on most maps and still be dangerous because of the timer.
The ceiling is there because it makes sense: having less elevation is kind of stupid, at that point what's the point of a DS; no regen makes no sense whatsoever - going to the ceiling takes roughly the same time as running to the redline and has just as much risk involved with buildings or final AV shots.
So yes, nothing should be changed about the ceiling or regen: because they are not the issues with the dropships.
Skill stacking is a problem. Swarm damage progression is a problem (being fixed in Charlie.)
Really, if dropships do not have the ability to run to regen, what is the point? They simply do not have the tanking capability to stand and fight, so why are you trying to take away/severely curtail their method of survival? A dropship at the ceiling is not contributing to the ground game.
