Wow, to shed some light on this, the city of Las Vegas is 136 square miles, with about 550,000 people. gaza is 139 sq. miles with 1.8 million. That's roughly the same area with almost 4 times as many people. Horrible....

So what if Mexico started lobbing missiles into the U.S. or France started lobbing missiles into Spain or Italy? The people should just do nothing and let the missiles kill their innocent citizens? Calling for a ceasefire is pretty pointless though.

There have been four ceasefires organised so far IIRC and throughout every single one Hamas fired rockets at Israel so they ended early.

Nobody is going to intervene. The only thing that's really likely to happen is Israel is going to continue until they feel they're done (presumably when Hamas stops firing rockets).

This is a reputable news paper and just look at the casualty figures when you speak of defence ... now I'm not against a nation defending it's self but there is such a thing a s a dis proportionate response. Most of the anti palistinian banter I hear mostly states they are firing missiles at civilian targets in israil ... but with given the figures printed in the independent and other British and European news papers and sights it would appear that israil is bombing with missiles and strikes indascriminatly where as the palistinian forces if you could call them that because let's face it they don't actually have an army .... let that sink in a bit. They don't have a ******* army ..... All these people know is they are getting bombed and forced from their homes and unfortunately Hammas are the only ones fireing back.

Now we also have to see what the media means by terrorist . If you were being invaded and bombed and had most of your immediate family killed in a war you didn't ask to be born into one day you would snap and fire back then you would be branded a terrorist by your invaders and a freedom fighter by the invaded. at the end of the day there is allot of civilians suffering at the hands of soldiers and thats not right ... they are not soldier and dont deserve to be targeted as such.

being children doesn't mean they cant be terrorists, or grow up to become them.... gaza is bad for Israeli health imo, and the jews have been persecuted enough through history...let gaza, and it's children burn imho....
