Not all scouts are CoD fanboys. There are plenty of other games with fast, run and gun gameplay... and some of us just like Nova Knives or originally got into it when it was actually hard.

You must either play with extremely bad heavies, or a bunch of mr. mustard clones, because the amount of times I've watched heavies gun down scouts is exceptionally high, as is the number of times I've seen scouts gun down heavies. The deciding factor that it usually comes down to is that heavies don't tend to have very good situational awareness. Rarely will they actually turn around to check their six, they just seem to expect their high HP and HMG to save them from everything. Granted, this seems to go for most players. Rarely, even with scouts on the field, do I ever see people checking their surroundings. The tunnel vision is too **** high in this game!
As for the nerfs, playing with a number of different suits, I'm honestly more concerned over heavies when I'm in an assault suit or even a heavy suit than when I'm in a scout suit. At least with a scout, I can usually see them coming, but an assault or any other medium frame is extremely vulnerable to heavies. They're not fast enough to escape, they usually don't have the HP to tank it out, and the DPS is much lower on most rifles. Those guys are the ones suffering the most under this. For all the calls to nerf the scout (We'll be on our third one with Charlie I believe) the heavies haven't been touched in months, and I'd like to point out that it's not scouts being spammed right now. Why? Harder to use perhaps, though it's most likely due simply to the nerfs. They've come down to more reasonable levels... well, at least the Minmatar has... Poor Amarr doesn't even count as a scout yet. Don't worry, little guy, you'll be a real boy soon...
Hopefully this next update will fix the suits without breaking them, though I'd say wait with the nerfs until the data comes in for the new assaults. Balances need to be made, but we've already seen what happens when you give something a mass of buffs while nerfing the competition... kinda doubting the Assaults will ever have what it takes to become FoTM though.
Nova Knives are best sidearm.
