The point of the thread was to put holes in your common argument that you need all that DPS on the HMG to fight shotgun scouts. It's asinine that in order to take out a target with less health you need more DPS, range, better damage profile,and cheaper fitting. I await the heat changes on the HMG in hopes that they will balance this monstrously unbalanced weapon.
There was no QQ in the thread. It was a constructive banter where there wasn't QQ as much as argument versus argument. Points were made and accepted. In the end, you have done nothing but bitched that your heavy suit is going through changes. It's not even a nerf like was pointed out, heavies will now have an all-time high pinnacle of HP. While it will in particular cause some weaponry sacrifices in the form of sidearm + nades, I have rarely seen a time where a heavy has had a need for them. But that's good. It's good that heavies will start having to make sacrifices, like every other suit. I sympathize with caldari sentinels though.
***** and moan all you like in the end logical balance will take it's course.

Lastly everyone had fun in the thread. It was good to enjoy a humorous thread but now Shameless Alt has to hate on it.

So Yes, Scouts need to fall like flies if detected, because that is balance. Heavies fall if they get within a scout's range, so why is it unfair for a scout to fall if it is detected within the heavy's range? The role of presence is kind of in the name "Heavy"...
Strafing out an HMG point blank? I don't know if you got the memo but heavies have the same rotational speed as everyone else. If you can't even graze a scout in CQC with an HMG I don't know if there's hope for yall in general. Point blank the scout gets first shotgun round off they need two more. 2 more which will occupy the time slot of just under 2 seconds. To take out even a 700 HP scout takes under a second of HMG fire. Realistically you are looking at a 300 HP scout and that is well under half a second to dispose of.
Yes scouts need to fall like flies if detected but there is no need to have a death HMG that unbalanced against all suits to defend yourselves against one suit & one weapon. It outranges and out dps shotguns and is mounted on tissue paper suit and the best most heavies complain about is "dat strafe speed". As if strafe speed wasn't balanced by HP.......
