He paid %90 for the digital pre-order with two expansion packs and various digital goods. The beta access was just part of the treats.
Presumably, and from the looks of alpha/beta, the full release will be just so.

I must say, being in the video game industry, and knowing there are customers such as yourself, is a relief. There are always people out there who will be happy with mediocrity, shady development practices, and generally being ripped off.
I wouldn't go down that route, but if I had too.. like say my family was starving, it is somewhat oddly comforting to know there will always be customers like you to float a ****** product and pay bills.
