The digital guardian edition comes with 2 expansions that would cost more if bought independently from the game, so consider that. There's no real reason to carry progress over from what I saw, the launch cap is 20 and that won't take any time to reach, especially from lvl 8. Maybe some of the loot drops and upgrades ppl may be upset about if they had rares, but even still losing a couple days progress isn't horrible. Also exo-titan/defender. Observe the public trust. Protect the innocent. Uphold the law.

The slavery of the Amarr Empire is about uplifting people to a higher state of thinking, and the holder is obligated to see that his slaves live healthy and relatively comfortable lives, and must supply education, healthcare, along with other amenities. It is a large responsibility, similar to the relationship between a parent and a child. Now, some holders have misinterpreted or exploited this practice of uplifting for their own selfish benefit, and those practices have been denounced by the Imperial Family for quite some time now. And even now, the Minmatar fight to "free" the people of Mattari Origin who freely choose to stay within the Empire, either out of love for the Empire, or merely for the higher standard of living available to them. The Caldari people made up the backbone of the Federation's Military power at that point, so it made sense for their society to be building up vast fleets. As for the colonies, they where funded by private companies, not any part of the Caldari Planetary government, nor any part of the Federation government, their founding wasn't technically illegal at that point, but was made so after the fact. The Federation government demanding that these private instalations (hardly colonies at that point) be placed under their control was what sparked the seccesion, as the Caldari people had already been loosing their autonomy for quite some time, and wanted to hang on to their cultural heritage. The City of Nouvelle Rouvenor was sabatouged by a group of extremists with no attachment to the Caldari Government Proper, nor was it an official army of the Caldari People. Yet, even with this knowledge, the Federation ordered the Extermination of the entire planet. Now, if someone was in your house and killing your family, and you had a gun in your hand, would you not shoot them? The Caldari Planetary Defense forces, and Corporate defense forces combined together to form one cohesive unit, ships that where once meant to supply Federation Space Stations, where converted to fighter carriers in defense of their homes, and the vast federation navy was split in half, as ethnic caldari captains and crew commandeered their ships in defense of their homeworld. The combined navy of all the Caldari corporations, along with their Planetary Defense Forces and defected navy personnel (including a number of ethnic Intaki, who too felt that they where loosing their autonomy) fought to defend Caldari Prime, so that the citizens could evacuate to the distant installations set up by the mega-corporations. However, the federation blockade held, and the Caldari People could only look up and hope that they would not allow the Federation Navy to continue its bombardment. Admiral Yakiya Tovil-Toba took matters into his own hands though, and took his fighter-carrier and the few dozen ships under his command straight into orbit around Gallente Prime. Forcing the blockade to withdraw to deal with his lighting raids over the course of the next several days, until finally, his carrier being the only ship left, he set course for the surface of the planet, hoping he had bought enough time for the trapped citizens of Caldari Prime to escape. He had succeeded, and the Caldari Citizens where finally able to escape.
