Was good but not that great.Doesn't really give me the thrill as playing Dust.Guess I'm a dust bunny.If someone has an opinion about comparing dust and destiny,type now or forever hold your peace.

Destiny runs more smoothly and looks prettier.....and even for a beta is a realtively whole as a game in a way Dust 514 will never be.
If CCP had achieved racial parity and not ballsed up vehicles I might be more lenient......

The PvP maps are pretty small, not much room for squad tactics. Basically 6v6 team deathmatch shootemup.
I'll buy it, though, for the story and the PvE - a social diversion to take a break from DUST when I'm having a bad day in New Eden. And while we wait to see what Legion's going to be.

i was skeptical about it. however, i played it and i enjoyed it. Sometimes it is fun to just have a quick 6 v 6 death match. i will admit though, that that is not everybody's type of thing. the action in the crucible is fast paced and i do like that. |

PvE was great. Didn't actually do the PvP because I had so little time to play (maybe logged 7 hours total... you win again, RL). I decided to screw around with different classes instead.
I'm assuming that (unlike lolCCP) most developers give a pretty stripped down experience with a beta and the full game will be substantially better.

What was the weapon of choice in desti y? When I played I got 1 shotted most of the time, granted I was only a level 6 when I quit. |

im keeping my ps4 when i get it. all my friends are here on psn, the real life friends of mine are call of duty fanboys and i got tired of the wtf deaths in cod due to peer vs peer server settings instead of dedicated ones. those did not bother me as much as the pregame yapping and epeen stroking. i just grew tired of the immature crowd and squeakers. not everyone was a jerk though and all games have them. they just seem to be more prevalent in cod for some reason. im too old to deal with the shenanigans of some 12 or 22 year old punk that knows nothing about life so i avoid cod and thus no xbox for me. that and mlb the show is a ps exclusive.

I might just get both I mean I have an xbox, 360, ps1,ps2,ps3,ps4. And a gaming laptop I guess adding 1 more system wouldn't hurt other than my wallet and lifespan... But I agree xbox gamers are way more annoying.

Shingen C Auto Rifle. Got it on the last day, hadn't played much PvP till then, but went from bad to OK just because of this one gun. I hadn't even optimised my fit to take advantage of this gun.
Overall I enjoyed playing Destiny but then I ignored the hype after being burned by Dust.

Destiny haves some pros and cons about the game when comparing to dust. Let me break this down. I am a light level 24 titan (your armor with light will allow you to go beyond 20) and a 43 soon to be 46 million SP DUST vet. SO let us get underway.
Pros:
- PvE is enjoyable. Ever since beta going into the complete (if you want to say that) game, Destiny's PvE mechanics are there. It does not feel lopsided when it comes to fighting nor does it feel bias to higher level players. They even allow you to adjust the difficulty at your risk until they say it is impossible. The raids, strikes, and public random events sealed this for them.
- Free roam is there. There are times you just do not want to do they story. They put in patrol missions throughout every planet which gives you the options to either free roam and PvE your heart out or do some side quest/missions. You might even stumble upon materials and chest giving out a multitude of items
- Level progression. You gain experience for just about anything ranging from PvE, PvP, completing task and bounties, and etc...
- Does not give a felling of FoTM in the game.
Cons:
- Instant kill abilities and guns in PvE. Recall when I said there is no FoTM, I meant that. However that doesn't mean that there is no instant kill things in the game. PvE your supercharge ability, when it hits and in range of someone, kills the everything.
I would give more cons to balance out the pros but class is starting
