I'm an older player. Been playing since the closed beta. I quit this game. I only play this game, to show love for LEGION.

I hate Dust 514.

This game is so broken by so many standards in FUNDAMENTAL ways:

1. Hit-scan sniper rifles - fine in games with small maps like CoD, very bad in games with big maps like Dust.
2. Horribly erratic TTK - due to numerous, unnecessary, arbitrary, game-breaking variables; which in turn create FOTMs and other frustrating scenarios.
3. Awful aiming and sensitivity mechanics. - You simply turn too slow; and the nerfs to mouse and keyboard are unforgivable.
4. Awful movement mechanics. - Can't vault over railing. Heavies STILL can't step up on to a street curb. Can't trigger inertial dampers at will to save your life. GJ.
5. Erratic hit detection - sometimes seems to depend on input type ds3 or kb/m, but it works when it wants to.
6. No weapon customization - when the developer says you can't change the sight on your gun, that makes people upset.
7. CCP's way of dealing (or NOT dealing) with these issues in the PAST. - e.g. 'sniper rifles are broken, so lets design the maps to lock them away from important objectives.'? That's like saying 'cars pollute too much, so lets destroy the roads.'

So yeah, I hate Dust.
But I am still sold on the VISION OF DUST. Smile

I still have faith in what this game COULD BE, or rather what Legion could be.

I expect to see Legion play like what I saw at E3 in 2011.

I expect to fight for "control of a Skyfire battery", and to go and support allies "pinned down in a control room". I expect people to die in a timely manner like at 0:30 and at 0:48. I expect to see scary dumbfire RPGs with shell shock effect like at 0:40, forcing people to take cover. I expect to see tactics win a fight, and not FOTM.
You need to go into battle either being fkin afraid to die (because of your fancy proto), or not giving a shlt (just like the merc sounds with his dialog. PAY MY PRICE.).
CCP can only make the game they advertised if they tell the crybabies and tards to get out the way. Why should CCP gaf about whether or not you like Dust as it is? Why should they care whether or not you don't want to buy a PC? What they have right now is a pos and they know it.
I want the game I saw in THAT trailer. THAT is the game I expected to play. Not the pos we have today.

The game HAS to play like the vision we saw at E3 or BETTER. That's what attracted us to it. Not what it is today.

CCP can take as much time as they need to get Legion right. I am patient.
If they make Legion play like what I saw in that trailer or better... I will come back and pour money into their game. I will drop Destiny and even Star Citizen in a heartbeat.
So yeah, I hate Dust, but I will always love the vision. If Legion delivers on that vision, then I'm all there. Otherwise, I'm out, because there are much better games.

I think we've been given only a small taste of PvP in Destiny...limited levels, weapons, vehicles, maps and types of contests. So far, I've liked PvP in Destiny quite a bit knowing full well, ti's beta and we're being given only a fraction of what's been planned for when the game goes live in September. One thing I've definitely liked about Destiny vs Dust so far is the matchmaking - by far better than Dust's. Right now about the only thing I'd say I like better about Dust vs Destiny is the mouse/keyboard option. But I still think that the seemingly endless ways that Dust's devs have effed up their once very promising game has so thoroughly killed any desire to ever play Dust again. I must be pushing 30 million SP by now (I haven't turned on my PS3 and logged into Dust for over two months, so who knows) but even the promise of millions of unspent SP isn't enough to make me want to play this game again and deal with the frustration of how the devs continue to screw it up.

Full Caldari is what I would do because I'm tired of using Min Logi , Gal , Min and Amarr heavies and Gal and Min assaults . I feel so dirty using other races because of the set up that I have with weapons and all , it suits me better but kills the playing experience . Cal assault . Cal heavy ( Have them now but they need to change their damage resistance bonuses to projectile and plasma / rail rifle . ) Cal logi ( Hate the bonuses but now I just don't care anymore but I'm not specking into it and using Min ... would defeat the purpose . ) Cal scout ( Already have and just don't use , so that would remain the same . ) Cal Commando ( It's my favorite suit except for not getting swarm bonus but I could live with it .) There wouldn't be a scout and heavy 514 if the assault suits were more appealing . So many think that Charlie will fix that but we will see . Even with the bait of a Legion transfer I can't bring myself to play or spend another cent on this game. I went from actively capping out/boosting two characters to basically nothing after fan fest. Cut my losses and moved on, though no single game as hooked me as dust did since but even that doesn't being me back to dust often. Between EVE and Dust a lot of my disposable income went to CCP now they might get a re-sub for EVE every now and then but that's it. Your game f'ing sucks, but I'll still play it, damn you! Turns out I wont.
