I'm so close to getting my mk.0 scout suit. But already scared to use it. Not because of dying or losing ISK just in general cause
its my first one. Anyone else feel that way?
At the same
time I'm extremly excited to get it.
So what was getting your first proto suit?

My first proto suit was the Minmatar Medium frame mk.o. That and the Scout gk.o are the only suits in my history of dust that I've gotten to level 5.

My first proto was the Amarr sentinel and that was ages ago >.>
Been playing since that was the only suit the Amarr had and it was only natural to proto first since it was the suit I had the most experience with. Also, though I am loathe to admit it do to my disdain of all things minmatar... there is something primal about the roar of Death's Engine that sends shivers down my spine

Assault CK.0 that I hope to pull out when charlie makes it viable again.
High mobility, shield regen is nice and back in the day it had a nice bonus to shield extenders. the bonus now is a joke although the fitting cost bonus to light weapons and siderarms is nice.
After that Logi Ck.0 and Scout Ck.0
working on Sentinel and Commando ck.0 both adv. now |

Then after 1.8, the Amarr Scout, Gallente Sentinel, and Gallente Scout. None of them have ever replaced my glorious Amarr Logi. ;~;

Assault ck.0 was my first, then went commando ck.0 for versatility at the respec. Reskilled back into the assault ck.0 because it looks awesome(commando ck.0 looks wimpy). With hot fix Charlie, that may have been a good decision.
Seen to do worse when wearing any proto, don't know why. Probably in my head cause the kills aren't as satisfying. Usually more effective and at peace using advanced or standard.

First proto was Amarr basic heavy frame, And I wasnt scared to use it I strapped that sumbitch right on and went out....

Depends what you mean by protosuit, really.
If faction gear counts, my first was a minmatar scout.
The first I got to level 5 was the gallente scout, but that was before the last respec, for the purpose only to have the quafe scout in my fitting list (Even without the skills for it, I can now wear it outside of battle)
The first I got to level 5 with the intention of actually using it was the amarr scout
You might notice the missing link here: I never put much SP into the caldari scout because it doesn't mold well with my playstyle. Mobility, damage, and fast hacking has always been more important to me than ewar.

Logi mk.0 at the beggining of uprising, i was the ultimate douchebag, 4 mlt plates 4 mlt extenders, M209 Assault SMG, and militia grenade and equipment.
Proudly a baby fish and a caldari loyalist.
Sentinel ck.0, Scout ck.0. Either my sentinel is dead.

Aww my very first was the Logi ck.0, back in the day (Before Uprising 1.4) my main fit was the Logi ck.0, Charge SR, 5 Complex Damage Mods, 3 Complex Armor Plate and full Compact Hives heck I was soooo op lol.
Then Assault ck.0
Then Logi mk.0
Then Assault mk.0
Then Scout gk.0 & now thinking about go Calcommando, or Calscout, Idk. Maybe Calcommando, or both lol
Since Quake the golden rule for FPS is to NEVER stop moving--even for a second!

My first Proto suit was the Scout Type-B back in the chromo days.
Man i was thrilled.
The thing is, for many players up till now, proto suit is an overpriced ADV suit with some more slots.
Not even worth paying most of the times.
But for scouts who always (until recently) Struggled so much to equip good modules amd had less slots , well, it was worth paying.
Then when the SCR rifle came (and i fell in love with it) i decided that my next proto suit would be the Ak.0 ...
NOw, many months later, i already have my proto scout and i will be getting my Amarr Ak.0 as soon as possible too.

It would've been the light frame, but I wanted to be invisible rather than just slightly faster and weaker. This was back when scouts could appear on your radar if they didn't damp or weren't proto.
It's the only proto suit I have, but I have a few others at advanced. I'm planning on getting Amarr Assault and logistics to 3 to then finish up min scout which I have at 3. |

I still dont normally use proto suits. I am proto in cal sentinal gal sentinal proto gal logi and proto gal assault.
I have my pg and cpu skills up to 4 so i normally have enough cpu and pg on suits to run at least a few proto mods and a proto weapon.
For me there just isnt enough benefit running proto to be worth the price differance. |

My first proto suit was the amarr heavy before sentinels were introduced, which I never skilled into because I hate the 1h/4L for AV purposes.
I believe my 2nd proto suit was the amarr logi and then the assault.
Current have proto amarr sentinel and assault, calscout, callogi 4, calsentinel 3. All cores are maxed except hacking. Only a small amount of equipment isn't proto. I have a plethora of proto weapons and proficiency. 48m sp gets you plenty of diversity.

I got Gal Heavy to level 4, got all the necesary SP for Lv5 and then blew it all on Nova Knives, then went to level 5 MinJ@.
I decided the speed and flexibility were more valuable than 1 extra low and I've never looked back.

First suit... My good ol' Logi, back when we only had 2 Logi suits, the good Shield variant and the other one that no one ever seemed to use.
When Uprising hit, first suit was my Gal Assault, followed quickly by Gal Logi. I do miss those suits..
My first Proto suit as of 1.8, I think it was my Min Logi, followed by a Min Scout about 30 seconds later. Just yesterday picked up my Proto Minmando.
If you find an issue and I stumble upon your thread, I will do my darnedest to get the issue known.

I started being full solo assault. Even with the meaningless bonus we had back then (1.4 to 1.5 i believe) it was a fun role to play. Funny that i started using it more recently (casually), when i feel confident enough, no ISK worries today. And though i hadn't been playing assault by the time the 1.8 respec took place, it was the first suit i took to lvl5 again without a second thought. |
