CCP eventually realized that BPOs as there are in Dust were a terrible idea. I doubt it will come back. Actually, I want it to stay like that. Makes the current BPOs that much more valuable if they get transferred to Legion. XD

The skill tree is in BPO Suits in legion .No suit transfer needed.
According to CCP Z, there appears to have been some changes to the original idea that was proposed during Fanfest 2014. We don't know what they are, but let's hope those changes include no BPO suits.

I completely disagree with you. BPOs should move into Legion. I invested real-world money primarily for those BPOs. I could care less about the AUR consumables or the AUR itself as long as I get to take those BPOs with me into Legion. Besides, many of us in Dust purchased large quantities of these BPOs with the promise from CCP that we will likely be able to trade them in the secondary market for Dust. Since now the secondary market is NOT coming to Dust but rather for Legion instead, I at least feel that I should have those BPOs transferred with me to Legion.

A better alternative is introduction of vanity items for AUR. Since it's abundantly clear after watching people play PSHome that vanity items are all the craze in the PS market, it would be wise for CCP to sell vanity items in Dust whenever possible. Trust me, you'd be surprised how much people are willing to spend for a little bling.

BPOs as EVE style ones? sure, I'm very cool with that, like DUST ones **** to the no.
I wouldn't mind that either. However, there are a lot of other BPO owners out there who are not as receptive of that idea as I am. Just like me, they spent money for a BPO that doesn't require materials.

There is no denying that it has helped with Dust development. But just remember that CCP got burned big time for trying to be greedy back in 2011 with Eve Online: Incarna. People protested, thousands of subscriptions were cancelled in one month, and then 20% of the staff got laid off in the aftermath of the protest we call the "Jita Riots". Oh, Dust also suffered as a result of this protest and so did WoD.

HOWEVER! maybe add limited addition BPO set that people can unlock when X amount of SP has been earned (see EVE gekko drone unlocking but SP insted of isk or w/e)
like x amount vehicals destroyed gets you medium+swarm xx amount gets you heavy + forge
x amount of player kills gets you main weapon+medium suit xx amount player kills gets you sidearm+assault suit+ flux nades(?)
x amount of Rezing/repping gives you logi suit, injector and repairer.
x amount of control point captures gets you light suit+ x weapon xx amount of captures gives you scout+weapon+cloak(?)
xx amount of control defences gets you sent suit+heavy weapon (hoping they add new weapons like a gattleing lazor)
x amount of vehical kills while assaulting a cap point (with in x distance) gets you commando suit+main weapon+PLC+AV nade?
something along these lines.. and ONLY when the game goes LIVE.. and they are open to EVERYONE once unlocked.. but as they are BPO make them a little better then militia.. maybe just a little less then Standard or hell.. BPO == standard.. keep proto suits and gear fairly costly and advanced somewhat costly over standard costs? I don't think BPOs will migrate to Legion they said Dust and Legion to separate games
By that logic then, the BPOs in Dust would very likely be converted to Eve-style BPOs where salvage/harvested materials would be required to manufacture. But then that would involve having a manufacturing feature in Legion. And since it will likely be an extremely long time AFTER Legion goes live before we see the Eve-Legion link established, I'm hoping this might pressure CCP into implementing Legion-side manufacturing upon launch.
Considering the recent overhaul to industry with Eve Online: Crius, CCP Shanghai should look into that and apply that feature to Legion while they still have a chance.
But again, remember that many of us who bought these BPOs didn't buy them just so that they will be converted into Eve-style BPOs. Someone like me might be ok with the conversion but others won't.

No. No you can't. Not anymore.

With the deployment of Uprising 1.5 we will be making an important change to the in-game market with regards to Blueprint items. This means that after the Uprising 1.5 patch has been deployed, all existing Blueprint items GÇô including militia items GÇô will no longer be available via the in-game market. This will be an important step towards forging a robust in-game economy for DUST 514, and establish a solid foundation for implementing key economic feats for the gaureme in the future.
Note that Blueprint items will still be available on the PSN Store via the Veteran and Elite packs.
So donGÇÖt forget to take advantage of the in-game market now to secure items that you may need before they are gone from the in-game store!
FAQ:
Q: What is a Blueprint? A: Blueprint originals or BPOs (sometimes simply referred to as Blueprints), are items of unlimited quantity that are always re-usable upon the death of your mercenary clone. Unlike other items in game, Blueprint items do not need to be restocked after death. These items can be identified by their blue bordered icon in game.
Q: What happens to my existing Blueprints? A: Your existing Blueprints will remain in your inventory. Note that from the 8th of October, you will be unable to purchase new Blueprints except via the Veteran and Elite packs on the PlayStation-« Store.
Q: If I purchase Veteran/Elite packs or use another code for a Blueprint, do I still get the Blueprint items within those packs? A: Yes.
Q: Will Blueprints be returning to the in-game market? A: There are currently no plans to return Blueprints to the in-game market.
Why was this done to be a step toward a in game market! Now that is not happening because of Legion so bring back Merc Packs
If they have no plan, they have no plan. You're only hope is to go to the CPM1 and see if they can bring this up with CCP. But in all likelihood, it probably won't work. And just because the ship is sinking it doesn't mean it's now ok to drill more holes into the hull.

Honestly, I see better sources of revenue for CCP. They're called vanity items. Decorating suits, decorating the merc quarters, decorating your tank, your weapon, etc. Besides, apparently the recruiter rewards are still offering BPOs.
