I love the fact there's all these new knifers. Knife fights in this game are fun.
It used to be rare to come upon another knifer on the opposing team. like once a week if I was lucky. now I am slicing down assaults and even logis running around with them. good times.

Yea.. but the problem with your little soliloquy is that any nonscrubabsoluten00b heavy will backpedal and strafe.. meanwhile you sadly committed your self to leaping in one direction in a completely predictable arc to a predictable landing spot.

It's okay. He'll soon discover what we mean.
One word of advice when leaping, land at and facing their side when you strike. You have a much better chance of slashing down that last 500 EHP easy peasy. And it is harder to strafe/backpedal from you when you leap like that. You notice some people look over their shoulder by turning right, some left. Go for the side they leave undefended if you can.

Maybe try fighting heavies that don't suck so bad they give you a false sense of superiority.
