The ultimate Dust Dev Challenge: - A 5 step programme for improvement:
Step 1: Admitting the problem:
- The Gallente Research map is a lag bomb. This has been true since day 1. Many players, myself included always get a much worse game performance on that map, and normally do much worse as a result of this. A certain 1-11 PC game comes to mind for me personally. "Shrugs".
Will Mr Rattati be brave enough to state the obvious fact that this map simply doesn't perform up to standards? As far as I know, no CCP representative have done this despite numerous threads on the subject.
Step 2: Looking for a sollution:
- I am no programmer and have absolutely no idea about anything vaguely related to it. But perhaps you guys do?
Step 3: Finding a sollution:
- I'd rather the map gets pulled out off rotation than having to play on it. Quitting games is not my cup of tea.... Yesterdays score's for me (My main) was: 30-1 * 38-4 * 25-2 and so on, then suddenly 13-5, that round including a lot of WTFand WHYYYYY??? moments, naturally.
I'd much rather lose the map then keep playing with the sort of typical laggy conditions we have to play with on that map.
Step 4: ???
Step 5: Profit.

Before your "savior" visited the forums, there were other devs who worked on reducing lag to the point we have it today. No its not perfect but its much better than it was then.
I rather keep the map. It's not that bad.

The Gallente Research facility needs to be removed from the Map Rotation in PC.
I'd rather have less content than broken content.
And nothing of value was lost that day...

They need to swap it out in PC where lag is more pronounced than pubs. I don't mind it in pubs.

Most of these noobs on the forums who never pc won't realize how bad it actually is in pc but I approve of this message.
