My favorite python fit goes as follows

1x Python (for the obvious reason)
1x XT-1 Missile Launcher
1x AfterBurner (Standard will work fine)
1x Enhanced Heavy Shield Extender
1x Complex light Shield Booster
1x Complex PG upgrade

This fitting is meant for the hit and run types, can tank a few shots before having to back away though, as the AB allows it to just disappear when it wants to.

I run pretty much this, with a few modifications


Change the enhanced heavy to complex heavy extender
change the complex light booster to a enhanced light shield booster.

It says that PG is exceeded which is a error on the site. On the right hand site you can see fitting sumary with 972PG max but it only uses 961. So you got 2 guns, enough shields to take 2 forgegun blasts and a afterburner to get away quickly.

LOL only 10 ISK. Quafe is quite expensive, you know?

Lowslots are all overdrives, high slot is an afterburner and who cares what else.
You now have a hilarious space shuttle capable of lifting tanks, at the cost of priceless overdrives

I have modeled these builds. This chart shows the builds. Incubus on the top Python on the bottom. Unhardened left die, hardened right side.

What am i looking at Judge ? TLDR = Hardened pythons are a weak risky build. Incubus can take more alpha

Side Axis : The number of HP
Bottom Axis : What happens on a hit. Hit 3 for example on the chart top left shows the health dropped to 698 hp. You can see the exact number in the table under the chart.

Dark Red Line : This is the dropships total health before the hit
Beige : This is the remaining health after the hit
light red : This is how many HP of damage the hit did.

So look at the top left chart. Hit 3 makes the beige line drop very low. This mean the ADS is close to death. Hitting the bottom means it died. Look at the dark red on hit 3. See that the difference between it and the beige is large. This means the ADS had quite a lot of health and the hit did lots of damage. You can also see this on hit 3 by looking at the light red line.

Look at hit 4, top left. See how high the dark red line is compared to hit 3. This means by the time hit 4 came in the ADS health had repped back up really high. infact to full health. Compare it to the height of the dark red line at the start. The height at the start is full health for the dropship on the chart.

These are battle models. What I do is record a match and note the weapon that hits me every time I am hit. Then I time how long it was until I was hit again. I do this for all hits. SO this chart is not hit after hit after hit. Its a realistic model of a battle with all the time between hits and the regen rates, regen delay etc factored in.

Each hit is also a different kind of weapon. In this case hit 1 and 2 are swarms and hit 3 is a forge. This way we can see how each vehicle compares against the same real battle.

In this case look at the unhardened python. It gets close to death often. And this is a best case model. i.e that means I assume the hardener is on for all hits for the two hardened charts.

the hardened python is a risky build. Incubus can take more alpha with the non hardened version staying further from death each time.
