Fix what?Teach your gunners how to lead shots and that wont happen, working as intended a missile exploding INSIDE the gunner bay should kill the gunner.

I think your trying to make this seem worse than it is.....
Dedicated gunners should be wearing MLT heavy frame for added protection Dedicated gunners should understand when to shoot, when to spam and when to not do either.
The other day I snagged a kill on a swarmer while the dropship was in afterburner evasive mode.

I will not "Get Good" or "Quit Dying" because I know that the missile should not hit the shooter. It does not hit the side of the dropship (I know this because this happens in factional and the Ship will not take damage) but the missile actually hits the turret operator!? I have used my Python enough to know how to avoid it, but keeping still to allow the side gunner to shoot the Forge Gunner is not an acceptable option.

I don`t think it makes sense that its expected of noobberrys or players who chance a gun on a dropship to be ready and more so to have heavy gear, it shouldn`t be a requirement, dedicated gunners as in thoose who build a load-out should be at an advantage because that have what they need and more for a specific action thats as logical as roles in game, it shouldn`t require any but an anolog and a trigger to shoot, you should only die by getting shot out or shot down. It simply makes no sense not even if you clarify it for players like a tops in a loading screen. on the other hand inless its a quick fix I think other issues should be atteanded to since the bigger issues will cuase more harm to the game and this one would/should wait a while longer (its been here a long time) if such instances mentioned above are correct. |

Ive had it happen a lot in LAVs it's just the fact that the missle travels slower then the vehicle that fires it which doesn't make a lot of sense. For space age missles ours act like rockets from the 18th century in terms of velocity. |

maybe for missile turrets (not ADS main`s though) they should have the missile spawn farther ahead of the turret`s mouth, might give it enough time. |

The ADS turrets sticks out at the tip where it's likely to fly under the ADS if anything. But I agree still, that if the missles won't be sped up to be more realistic that they will spawn further from the barrel. Look at any videos of modern missle testing those things cross thousands of feet in the blink of an eye. We should barely be able to see the missle before it collides which at current speeds they fly like a black powder rocket from mythbusters or something. |

Not when shooting straight causes the missile to hit the frame of the dropship or inside the door, it's really just a matter of understanding when to shoot, die a few times and learn the hard way or just don't use the guns?

Trust me, I have had experience in the dropship missiles, and I have had experiences with the missiles such that although the problem does happen commonly when the vehicle is moving forward, if the ship is coasting to the side, the gunner on the side that you are coasting to can kill themselves as they shoot perpendicular to the ship.
its not the case of hitting the frame of the ship, but the missile spawning behind the gunner is the issue,

AHAH i've done this! on an LAV!
a Heavy friend of mine told me to help him take an objective back ,so i hopped on his LAV (with my 300HP , 190k Proto scouts) and while close to the objective i saw ANOTHER LAV with very little HP parked so i shot it, but my friend was driving full throttle towards the enemy LAV and somehow we catch up with the Rocket....and well...
as per Sgt.ButtS. Lets just say i failed the IQ test...

Keeping still is not a problem, but I should not HAVE to. the python should never be still, always on the move from target to target, always adjusting position to keep out of range from the relentless AV. If you do stay still, you die.

The heavy is MLT, no skills require and minimal ISK required. The reason is not just the turret raping the gunner, but for more protection when engaged in prolonged combat(some scr users are good at dropping weak gunners). Saying a gunner should require nothing other than "an anolog and a trigger" is stupid. simple as.
Compared to other issues Dust514 has this is a non issue, should be one of the last in line for fixes.

It has waited its fix for much longer than it should, since vehicles were given a massive overhaul, this has been a pressing issue for me at least. Its time it gets fixed.
