Well, I didnt liked what I saw from Destiny in the beginning, reminded me to much on a borderland rip off and I don't like copies. I carried dust deep in my heart for more than a year now.
I got to try Destiny through a beta key I got from a mate from STB and I gotta say I'm really amazed by the game. The pve experience is limited to a smaller group just like pvp but both modes are a hell lot of fun.
Multiplayer seems quiet balanced to me and ven the power each class get arent that Op as u would eypect them. I generally like more of the fast paced games ever since Quake so I gotta fall for Destiny Mp, the maps are in amedium size, big enough to use some flank strategies, small enough to rush an onjective, no 3 minutes runs from one objectibe to another, which I'm sorry to say, I always hated in Dust, yes its for the vehicles, but it drags out alot of action from the game IMO. The radar version of destiny is a nice gadget, its not as precis as in dust, but you get a sense from which direction enemys will come, every player has it, so no ewar qq to find here, think the radar is a really good thing in destiny.
If you gotta move a longer way, you can always grab your sparrow vhicle which goes in about 2 seconds, no rdv's, no expensive ai bullshit crashes.
Pve is just a hell lot of fun to me, smashing Ai enemys with friends or alone in different modes is just great, and on top of the regular story missions, you get an adventrue mode for every planet where you can walk around the huge pve maps, jump on small enemy groups or do mini missions, which is quiet nice to waste time.
all in all i gotta say, I enjoy playing destiny, looting and raging in a damn fun multiplayer which has exactly the pace I prefer.
personally I think Ccp is just doing to much in Dust, they have so many varianles like different speeds, health and eqar bonusses thwy gotta select for each race and suit and tier that the are giving themselves a hard time. It's what makes Dust qhat it is but the game gotta decide what it wants to be, strategic or twitch shooter, u cant dance in two partys at the same time.
Biggest point for me right now is my personal time management, I enjoy Pc, and competitive matches but it takes atleast 1 hour, with set up and preperation to get into 1(!) good battle, since ++ubs are pure crap. I got a real life an a time consuming job, thats also where my focus lies, so I want a game which I can turn on, play a couple of competitive matches or sink into playing with friends, thats what I enjoy about destiny.
I think destiny just raised the bar a little more which will put much more pressure on ccps legion plans, I'm excited to see what they are tryin with that game, but since there is a sinking ship(Dust) and still no light on the horizon(legion) I think its just natural for gamers to look for alternatives, and legion offers a good alternative in my opinion.

First, I judge games majority of the time individually. If we start comparing game A to game B, we would see plenty of problems.
Second, a developer company has to know its strong points because hey, they are in business to provide entertainment for profit. They just didn't simply "hire" people to build this game just because they love video games. With that said, CCP is more experienced with PCs. When have they ever dealt with consoles besides this first time?
Also, did we also put into account maybe there were some troubles getting the patches out according to Sony's rules?
And lastly, if Legion is greenlit, if we look to EVE for a guide we can theorize that Legion will be a mature highly in depth world that we can sink our teeth into.
I'm enjoying Destiny. It's great. But its also a little bit "soft" in its presentation. Dust is gritty. Maturer. Sophisticated. Things aren't rosy in New Eden. In Destiny, you know the darkness is seeking to destroy the world, but its all expressed to you in a PG, made for tv and kids video game. Not to take anything away from Destiny. But I enjoy that Dust offers a more mature taste for me.
This is why I support CCP in creating Legion. I know that they are more experienced in PC. I know that hotfixes and patches can come out in a "on demand" like fashion instead of waiting for weeks for a company to clear it. I know it can run seamlessly with EVE. Just from watching the lil video in FF, you can see the sophistication and the complete vision of that gritty New Eden universe that the ground forces fight in.
So let's keep these two games separate. Dust could not be fully realized on limited hardware that is difficult to develop on in the first place.
What you're going to do next if you like No Man's Sky more? Compare that to Destiny and tell Bungie how they completely flubbed it?
I think you are right on this, I am also looking what Ccp comes up with on Legion, and I'm really really starving on news on that game. I would also not completetely compare two games, all I can say is why I prefer which game, and for what I prefer which game. Dust was an amazing experience to me, and the meta game is just great. I will never forget this, but biggest point for me is the real life time I got to invest into a game to have fun playing it.
