This is unfair.
First, I judge games majority of the time individually. If we start comparing game A to game B, we would see plenty of problems.
Second, a developer company has to know its strong points because hey, they are in business to provide entertainment for profit. They just didn't simply "hire" people to build this game just because they love video games. With that said, CCP is more experienced with PCs. When have they ever dealt with consoles besides this first time?
Also, did we also put into account maybe there were some troubles getting the patches out according to Sony's rules?
And lastly, if Legion is greenlit, if we look to EVE for a guide we can theorize that Legion will be a mature highly in depth world that we can sink our teeth into.
I'm enjoying Destiny. It's great. But its also a little bit "soft" in its presentation. Dust is gritty. Maturer. Sophisticated. Things aren't rosy in New Eden. In Destiny, you know the darkness is seeking to destroy the world, but its all expressed to you in a PG, made for tv and kids video game. Not to take anything away from Destiny. But I enjoy that Dust offers a more mature taste for me.
This is why I support CCP in creating Legion. I know that they are more experienced in PC. I know that hotfixes and patches can come out in a "on demand" like fashion instead of waiting for weeks for a company to clear it. I know it can run seamlessly with EVE. Just from watching the lil video in FF, you can see the sophistication and the complete vision of that gritty New Eden universe that the ground forces fight in.
So let's keep these two games separate. Dust could not be fully realized on limited hardware that is difficult to develop on in the first place.
What you're going to do next if you like No Man's Sky more? Compare that to Destiny and tell Bungie how they completely flubbed it?

I still say you're being completely unfair and unrealistic about the whole thing. But hey, to each its own.

I was fair to dust for over a year, it just doesn't measure up... their is no fair in the real world.
You're speaking from a perspective that reeks of bitterness, hard-feelings and regret. Yes it is unfortunate how things turned out but that's not grounds to exaggerate and be completely oblivious to the truths.
CCP isn't experienced on consoles like Bungie is. You still combat that very strong point.
Developers and production companies, shift and layoff employees all the time. Plenty of games has become vaporware. CCP isn't the first to have these situations happen to them. You still combat that very strong point.
Destiny and Dust are two different things that shouldn't even be compared to each other because they attract two different audiences. You still combat that very strong point.
And then you end it with "there is no fair in the real world". If you have that knowledge then, why are you bringing up the unfortunate layoff of CCP employees with WOD? Why are you pointing fingers if you understand that truth?
So again, you're not being fair about the situation. Meaning, you're not looking at this with objective perspective. You're arguing like a ex girlfriend who is still bitter about her ex boyfriend whom talks about all the bad points but if he called wanting to get back with her, she would accept in a heartbeat.
