I'm not getting that impression from the OP at all. I've played the Destiny beta a lot. The weapons are very generic and uninspiring, aside from the fusion rifle which is brilliant (the highlight of the beta). The special abilities of the classes are extremely dull. The open world is somehow linear (similar to how the "open worlds" of Borderlands are linear). The enemy AI rely on increased HP and DMG values to increase the difficulty opposed to actual smart behavior. When you level up you also become vastly more superior in HP and DMG every time so taking on enemies a few levels below you is a cake walk and taking on enemies a few levels above you is near impossible as they one shot you. This also means that the only way to play with a friend is if they are within one or two levels of you. Why this leveling system is so popular is beyond me. And then PVP, which coming from the Halo creators is the absolute biggest disappointment. There is no new ideas and no depth to it at all. I'd go so far as to call it "tacked on." Fun for a few matches but quickly becomes boring as you realize there's really nothing to it.

If this game was made by anyone other than Bungie I doubt very many people would care.

DISCLAIMER: I'm not saying Destiny is garbage. I'm only saying that it adds nothing that we haven't seen before elsewhere. It'll still be a fun game to play through, but I doubt many people will stick around too long. Which is good, because Destiny 2 come out in 2016.

You would think that CCP would have given the infantry refund that should have been in 1.8.

Bungie actually has a plan that they are sticking to and options will be added at later dates . Stop hating because CCP has already killed Dust at the past FF so get off of your soap boxes and take off your Dust 514 CCP shirt because really , no one in here cares and many will play Destiny and come up with their own thoughts about the game but it's really too early to tell and this game has a two year head start already . How will Destiny be in two years ..??.. should have been your real question to ask and I believe that it will be further along then this game is at the same point and running smoother with better graphics for those who doubt the process of working with Sony and the PS4 . Discussions are already in the mix for a PS5 and I haven't opened my box yet to my PS4 and wont use Destiny as a reason to until the feedback that I study about the game . Just stop with the hate because if others are hating on Dust then they have a reason to do so , actually many reasons to do so . Just be a bigger person about the whole ordeal . A day or two might be a set back but in the long run it would do more good than harm and would allow a chance for a more focused environment .. since that is really a big issue among a lot in the community . But the pieces were falling into place and that's all the more reason that I really know that they won't do what would be good and allow a refund because they really don't care . The deal is done already . You would think that CCP would have given the infantry refund that should have been in 1.8.

You just can't compare the two besides the fact that there on consoles . You need a game like Dust to compare it to . Quite a few people said that it would kill dust. No Tech , I'm not trying to e-peen ... I'm just saying that Last of Us was a good game . Could it kill Dust , hell no but that's even more so because you really can't compare the two . You know I admire your opinion , I would never challenge you because I agree with a lot of what you say but I was just saying that Last of US was a good game that's all and it's silly for people who want to compare the two games because you really can't besides the fact that there on consoles . Nothing , I just believe people or entities for that matter in dealing with a business .. for there word and CCP hasn't been too good in that department in taking people for what they say for face value . I've seen interviews of Bungie Dev's about Destiny and they seem excited , prob about as excited as any Dust dev when they first started but they haven't said anything to the contrary yet and that's what I'm talking about . I try to give people the benefit of the doubt until they prove themselves wrong and that way I'm just a witness to their wrongdoing to their own selves . I believe that given recent events , it's hard to defend CCP's record and still not having a formal apology to the console community who might have been as passionate as any eve player , doesn't help the cause either . The level four is in roles that I like to play as well like Minmatar Logistics , so I'm not hurting in that department . I just want to enjoy the game like I did when I started playing .
