So Ripley SHOULDNT have killed that queen alien because that powered exoskeleton she used was too heavy?.
Help, I can't walk, I can't support my own muscle.

Strafe Speeds across the board are too high. Wiggle Wiggling negates too much damage.

but it ain't all going your way either.
scouts and assaults shouldn't be jumping around like they got springs in their boots either. in any real warfare soldiers do not jump up and down whilst shooting.
nobody should be shooting from the hip, unless just firing to make others get to cover. all players should be aiming to get the bullets to hit what they want them to hit aka what they are "aiming" at.
in other words you want heavys to feel heavy that's ok but for "balance"
.there should be no hip fire reticule. .jumping whilst shooting should be wildly inaccurate. .scouts should be for scouting not assaulting. .shotguns should require bracing in order to shoot unless on a heavy due to high amounts of kick. .snipers should be able to go prone. .sniper headshots should ohk .heavy armour should protect it's wearer
there are loads more but I've had enough, basically I'm saying that let's just leave this alone or call it what it is... another shot at nerfing the heavy that has only just become useful again.
Thats just stupid. Youre telling us that scouts should be for scouting? So in your way of thinking, assaults should only assault, logis only logi, and heavies only take damage.

Weak thread.
A prototype tanked out heavy suit is devastating within its range. Engaging head on is ill advised.
But honestly, nothing is more OP then a cloaked and fully dampened scout. I was playing around with fitting yesterday and was testing the boundaries of what I could accomplish with my ck.o scout. I was literally sitting in the open, cloaked, watching red dots run all around me and never noticed. I had other ck.o scouts inches from me with no detection what so ever. I was even decloaked at times with red dots scouts running by me facing my direction with no notice....

Minmatar Heavy/Sen lives and dies by it's strafe...... we are not a stand up brawler like the Ammar or Gals . If we couldn't strafe ... we couldn't fight .

Pokey Dravon wrote:Yokal Bob wrote:iv come across these high strafing heavies. does using a kb/m make a difference? iv not used them so im not sure No, strafe speed is locked by the movement speed of the suit an cannot be increased. It can only be decreased by putting on Armor Plates. Now Heavy Frames and Commandos do have a slightly higher movement speed than Sentinels, but its not significant enough to make them perform like a Scout. In addition the Minmatar heavies are a little bit faster. So there are ways to get a fairly quick heavy, but it doesn't even come close to Scout levels. Too add to the answer about k /b m, yes it does make a difference. Strafing with kb m is always faster because there is no deadzone for keys. When you move your stick left to right, there is a slight delay in movement because of the area where the stick is at rest, on keyboards this is not an issue, so it doesn't increase strafe speed, but it does increase how fast you can strafe.

As someone whose Alt is and has been a heavy for about 9 months, I'd say they don't strafe anywhere near as fast as a scout. If you're having trouble hitting them because of strafing, you're probably over compensating when they change direction. If they're strafing with you as you try to dodge and you keep getting hit, it's likely the ridiculously fast turn speed of Heavies that's really killing you.
Personally I think turn speed should be lowered slightly, but I wish there was some way to keep it at current levels within a certain cone from center of reticle...say 40 degrees, and past that your speed drops a certain percentage.
Not new, just new to you.

Should Scouts be able to throw on 4 Complex Plates and still jump over railings?
I put on 2 Plates (doesn't matter which) and I get stuck on a pebble.

Shouldn't be as possible considering that strafe speeds are reflected off your base speed.

Bormir1r wrote:Seriously, how is it even reasonable for heavies to strafe ridiculously and then spray and pray with the HMG?
Edit: I think the point I'm trying to make across is that I find quite a few heavies who strafe pretty quickly, mostly amarr and minmatar heavies, and while there is a 40% difference in strafe speeds for scouts and heavies, it definitely doesn't seem like it when you're in CQC with a Heavy and they use KB/M. And honestly, IDGAF if heavy strafes are nerfed or not, this is really just in an inquiry.

Boromir. I know you are a scout. I play scout too .Most of the times....
BUt lately i've been having some weird a55 fun with My Minmatar sentinel with 2 Cx Kin Kats.
Do i deserve to move at 7.7 Sprint and 4.20 walk/strafe?
well lets see. I have around 550 Shields and 480 armor. I'm pretty fast and pack a HMG.
But compared to a scout i lack: 2 Equipment slots MOre sprnt speed and Movement speed More scan precision , less scan profile Smaller Hitbox Lack armor rep With 1 ENH shield Energizer i have around 30 shield per sec,so EXACTLY the same i have with my Gal scout. More Rage mails. CLOAKS.
See? Scotus stills have enough tools to deal with sentinels.Even the fast ones.
Sentinles are ok. They are powerful and annoying. Woking as intended.
