Anyway, if CCP makes legion and it comes out heres sometime i would l like to see in legion - leadership skills and possibly fittings!
In EVE there are skills you can learn that will increase certain stats of members in your fleet making them obviously more effective in combat - along with that there are modules you can fit to your ship to further increase fleet member, they are not entirely a combat role but more definitely a support role
So why not add those into legion? make Being a squad leader less of a role and more of a play style
Heres a few skills i have in mind, (also if you reply feel free to come up with names for them im not creative at all)
- increase reload speed by 3% per level
-increase shield capacity by 5% per level
-Reduce scan profile by 1% per level
-increase WP gain by 1% per level
-increase Rate of fire by 3% per level
To name a few - theses skills will only come into effect when the skill holder is the squad leader and that the squad members are in range of the leader to receive the benefits -THE LEADER DOES NOT RECEIVE ANY BENEFITS-
there could also be module versions of some of theses skills that take up mid and low slots,
This would make a "Leader" class more of thing, where a player who wishes to be a squad leader could further his squad's ability by sacrificing his own effectiveness
this would also add some more strategy when it comes to corp battles, a lot of corps designate squad leaders, so should someone be designated they would be recommended to train up the leadership skills and create a fit to make his squad more badass in battle
But lets say the rival corp that is attacking the other corp is aware of some of the squad leaders, they would have to inform they team to keep eyes out for certain individuals to take out first so they may weaken the enemy squad rather than take them on all buffed out
