awesome I don't use NKs and I never will but this idea is great and I look forward to people getting one more AV tool that requires thought and skill, I'm especially looking forward to having a ninja jump on top of my incubus and start cutting away, the first one that manages to jump on i'll let stay for a well earned lol.

I can't believe that most that are in agreement , stand on soap boxes in the name of " Balance " .
If anyone is a d!ck it's the one's encouraging this .
For those talking about players jumping on their drop ships and all , " that will never happen " and this is just one more reason that they just need to eliminate vehicles because they just don't know what to do with them .
I can't wait until they just shut down the servers .
Then I don't have to put up with BS like this and people who encourage it .
You would think that CCP would have given the infantry refund that should have been in 1.8.

Both swipes fully charged will take off (i'm guessing) 250 HP from a vehicle, and unless the vheicle isn't moving...it won't be hard to get away from NK. I think as long as the damage output on vehicles from NK aren't too much, we'll be fine.
"One does not simply" run like a Raptor. Only mk.0 Scouts do ... wait... I'm still outclassed by Gal scouts.

Why are vehicles in this game again?
CCP did say they are going to look into and sort out the small and large blasters.
I have been in this game since beta and I can tell you that I have seen the vehicles in this game go through a LOT of high points and low points. Right now they are not as powerful as they have been - granted. That being said, tanks can still cause a lot of trouble in the game so dont write them off so easily.

Why are vehicles in this game again? I think HAVs should be defended mainly from mercs manning their small turrets, but tankers never seem to equip those? Maybe cpu/pg requirements for tanks need to be looked at again.

Ive been i this game from the beginning and vehicles right now are worse off than 1.0 era
The only high point for vehicles was chrome but after that maybe 2-3months in 1.7 but that was when CCP rebuilt vehicles by removing turrets, skills, modules, slots, pg/cpu and hulls
Cause alot of trouble only against mlt noobs who got out the academy, pc they are useless

about 1k damage per ninja, and if you get a flux off, shield vehicles will be mincemeat, and armor vehicles can be hit more than once

If you ask me, all weapons should have their default efficiency to vehicles, but vehicles have a lot more health and maybe more regen. This way when a team of noobs shoot at my tank they can actually do something. Besides, I liked it back when an HMG could take town an LAV easily. It felt like it made sense, filling a small vehicle with hundreds of bullets and having it blow up.

It seemed like overkill and seemingly ridiculous when I first saw this considering how hard it would be for say a tank to shoot them, but then I remembered tanks move faster then any suit that will be toting the knives so.... not sure how much it will matter. Not too mention one infantry support per tank = dead knifers. It would be pretty simple to counter that I don't see it mattering much, if anything it encourages tanks to at least fit one small turret on their vehicle to load in a logi/assault suit to shave off all the barnacles. |

Any tanker that dies to knives deserves to be instantly biomassed, or have their SP cut in half.
BTW: Ishnoks with lv5 minja/prof deal about 700 per full slash, at 1400 a trigger release.
At 50%, that's 350 a knife, 700 a trigger.
Also: about 100 an uncharged slash.

He is tweaking the game because these don't require Client Side updates. PVE will require a client side update and CCP already stated there are no planned future updates. As of right now 1.8 is the last update to Dust, although this may change, don't hold your breath. Pretty much what the game is now is going to be what it is in 2 years when/if they remove it from the servers for legion. |
