rattati is a fool for dismissing this out of hand...
less important than other things? of course.... I'm not an idiot... but it certainly would help define the assault suit.
make one an av nade slot... that would be a very cool feature for assaults imo... |

see, to me this is like saying, to cure the patient we have to use a medicine we have arbitrarily chosen not to use, because reasons....
I have heard the thin argument of lots of stuff to do server side, we can do client but aren't because we don't want to make you have to re DL dust
there are sooooooooo many things that could be fixed and added... like a sell option in assets...that a client side update would be well worth it to everyone...
so why not an effing client side update now? for real? |

That's not a hotfixable change. The positions on the wheel are tied to the equipment and weapons. The grenade assets have zero connection to the wheel, and thus can't be swapped in like that. Because (if rumors are true) Sony dropped their deal with CCP because of the Fanfest 2014 fiasco. It would cost CCP money to provide a client update, now, along with the normal Sony Q&A stuff. Its not gonna happen. Just drop it.
well if this is true, and while I can understand ccp not telling us this, rattati should not have said it was possible.... it's just more of the same ccp BS that put them in this position in the first place... |

then how about giving them x1 extra grenade? so if another suit would have 2 locus, the assault gets 3 do to a x1 bonus to nade capacity. |

I'd actually give them +2 personally, not per level mind you, just +2 flat bonus. Give them Damage bonuses and suddenly your Assault suit has its own little niche of AV with AV Grenades, it would be sweet.

thank you for the reply, I appreciate you considering this, I realize this alone doesn't fix the assault but it seems like giving them a unique fitting option like this is a good start. |
