But in the long term, especially after what CCP later announced at Fanfest 2014 about the Eve United plan for Eve, Legion, and Valkyrie, there will be a link between the games. PS: @OP, Yes, Legion is going to be what Dust was meant to become... in the long term. Just don't expect it to have everything when it gets to closed beta. Nope, unless the players convince CCP otherwise there will be no link at launch with Eve. The mantra that CCP is following right now is that Legion must stand on its own. We specifically talked with CCP even about having orbitals in the game at Fanfest and that was a negative. Eve united is a long term plan that could work for 3 games set in the same universe with no real link between them other than the IP, which seems to be where CCP is going these days. That seems to be the extent of it though. Remember in the Dust beta CCP had no plans to have player corps when Dust launched and players in the beta convinced them otherwise. Perhaps the same can be done regarding at least having a clear plan to link the games. One of the reasons that having a CPM that values a link is kinda important. (Only 1 hour left to vote btw) That's why I hope that the CPM1 will be able to convince CCP to introduce "some" kind of connection between Eve and Legion. At least a connection that's a little more practical and has a bit more incentive compared to what Dust has. Planetary Interaction in Eve Online is a good starting point and so is FW and PLEX.
