People are still going to the academy in an attempt to feel relivant? Thats adorable. Dust must be improving by leaps and bounds day by day. You know, cause people still like to hide in the academy......
Would you care to brag about your kill count from said academy matches? Im pretty sure people will be impressed..... |

Lol, your bragging about the academy. Nothing more needs to be said. Lol, the children really have taken over since most of us vets left after ff14. Keep practicing, maybe some day you will impress somebody with your ability to not crouch in the academy.
I like how you are so relevant your go to defense is to reference your KC, screams trainee/weak link.
Keep making alts and playing in the academy, sounds like thats more your speed. Those battles with the big boys are really hard arent they?

So your a vet, and you made an alt to say hello to everyone, but all you had to say was how adorable everyone with no sp or experience in the academy was? Am I about right?
The part about your KC for the match you are bragging about was sarcasm, the fact you miss understood it is whatever, but the fact you try and defend yourself with a lifetime KC of 9000 is just to awesome for words. You, my friend, are somebody. Don't let those tricky academy noobs give you any mess. Im sure all the kids at the special needs facility you stay at are rooting for you. |

If you feel the need to quote every single post 2 spaces after its made, be my guest. And you can be anybody you want to be, just like mommy and daddy told you.
The fact you are apparently getting such a kick out of the well known fact that new players entering the academy are garbage makes you seem pretty noobish yourself. You know that information has been well known since forever right? So either you are just about to enter middle school, or your feeling good about yourself that, finally, you arent that guy crouching down in the academy. Congrats, youve learned the ropes. Legend has it if you keep bragging on the forums it will make you a better player.
Or make you look like a d*ck. |

What, you know who I am? If you were indeed refering to me thats good, because thats 2 people in this thread who know i'm DunkMujunk. Wasnt a great player, wasnt a sh*tty player, and I didnt need the academy to make me feel better about my life. |

Actually, I'd like to mention that Academy is adorable, especially the guys crouching and walking around in crouch, A for effort, little cuties.
Go ahead and re read your first post (ironic I quoted it, I know) and ask again why I think you enjoy watching trainees fight. And hey, if your mom likes women, no problem there, im fairly fond of women myself.
If you want to feel having more likes makes you a better player, thats on you. Of course, I would say that makes it more likely that you would create a trash thread like the one we are currently in.
And here we are. |

I wasn't aware that trashing new players on the forums was required to get the bpos. |

I would imagine it helped you in the like department being in on the forums nearly a year before I began playing, as well as hanging around after ff14. It would be a bit easier to look past the newb bashing in your op if their was any other substance to it than what was, a shot at new players. Don't get me wrong, I made more than my fair share of trash posts in my time, though I would like to think (and maybe im wrong here, go ahead and search my main again to double check my posts) i never bashed somebody who couldnt defend themselves. As for new player sillyness, yeah that wore off like a month into Dust. If you really are still getting such a kick out of it, I dont know what to tell you other than at face value (which is all there is to go on through text) it looks an awful lot like you are compensating for something. |

Post #18-I don't quite understand where you're getting the fact I'm getting a kick out of watching newbies fight, it's incredibly dull
Post #28- To "defend" myself, I watched the majority of it standing up on a high point, watching a crew of guys crouch walk towards an objective. It amused me
Ok, sooooo.......you want to go figure out exactly what it is you are trying to say, or are you just gonna keep flip flopping every few posts? This isn't any fun if you are not bringing your A game, and I'm not sure Dust has a Forum Academy for you.
I actually had a good time with the first final fantasy online, it was a decent, functioning game (that I think is still running today, though I could be wrong. Did a bit better than Dust did for sure though), of course, there were no rookies for you to beat up on, so I'm not surprised you didn't enjoy it.
Anyway, as we both know, I was referring to fan fest 14.
Quick question, you guys still q-syncing academy matches, or did you "up the skill level" by running them solo now.

Yea I didnt get banned until last week when I bashed CCP Rattphooee with one of my remaining alts. The reasons for the ban seemed to fall in line with what the op of this thread is, oh well.
NJP, I guess we are done for now? You seemed so eager to point out the disparity of likes between your main and my dead main. Apparently a large amount of likes doesn't keep you from talking yourself into a corner, or maintaining a single line of thought for more than 3 minutes. Looks like your mom should have focused on treating your ADD, not telling you that you can kiss boys if you want (totally cool if thats what you are into). Oh well, im sure that in true "forum warrior" style, you'll show back up later in the night when you think im not around to get the last word in. Guess we'll find out soon enough. |

Would you care to brag about your kill count from said academy matches? Im pretty sure people will be impressed..... My kill count? over 9000. Ooft, I like the hostility, but from a non factor such as yourself It feels diminished in some way, I don't need to try and stay relevant, because I am. This post was more about the fact I finally made another character to post on, a sort of hello to all the forum warriors I enjoy speaking to here, and less about murdering academy scrubs. Educate yourself, scrublet.
Lol, good, your back. Here is post #3, your very first response to my very first post. Whos mad again? You were gone for a good bit more than 5 minutes. Go ahead and read the first 2 words of my post like youve been doing, clean up your cache again, then come on back and flat out deny that you keep shooting yourself in the foot.
Not trying to chase you off, your doing all my work for me ;)
Oh btw, good stuff with the voices in head thing, makes you seem really edgy and cool. (<----woops, looks like im guilty of reading your posts too fast lol, you can disregard that sentence). |

It's just amusing how quickly you got.. would the word be angered here? Because it seems like there's a hint of anger here, I mean, what with the subtle insults and such, you just seem mad.. I apologize if I've offended you and your crouch walking ways, I truly am, I won't knock you for it, it's adorable but I mean, you just go out there and do your best darlin'.
You have a strange obssesion with crouching down.....i'll let the community form their own conlusions on that one sir........errr ma'am? Not really sure anymore. You say your not from the US, but your over use of "darlin" makes me feel like im talking to an old lady from Alabama. Your english is great, sentence structure good. Canadian? Havent seen any Aussie or England slang. You definitely need work on information retention.

Fair enough. While I have heard of Wales, as you said I assumed it was a part of England. Learn something new everyday I suppose. Right or wrong, i'm sure you had to expect at least a little flak for your op, no? |

Is it adorable? yes. is it effective? not at all, unless you're walking behind cover or around a hill. but they don't know that because there is no tutorial saying what can and what can't get you under the radar.
Now that makes a little more sense, yeah, going back to starting out, I heard something about sprinting would make you show up on the map, so I didn't sprint anywhere, just jogged along trying to "not get caught". I guess it comes down to what we've played, I never played personally but those I introduced to DUST say "This is similar to Halo but for playstation".. Glass Bowtie wrote:Fair enough. Lol yeah used to be the simple mention of the academy started at sh*t storm about sp graduation requirments and vets basically living in the academy. To this day I see no purpose for the academy, of course the game will forever be frozen in time so I guess it doesnt matter. What is the graduation requirment at these days, out of curiousity? |

Yea I think NPC academy would be the way to go. Even with no sp and militia gear, simple map knowledge is such a huge factor. As a vet, you can glance at the overhead map and damn near predict the ebb and flow of battle. Before I switched from assault to logi I ran some academy matches to learn the ropes of effective drop uplinking, back when they gave you those free uplinks for completing whatever the training goals were, and with few to no vets on the other team battles could be easily won with uplinks alone. I remember when I started playing the grad requirment was 400wp. I had read on the forums how tough the transition was and was a bit nervous, cause I thought the academy was hard enough as it was. Then a week into playing I got a better grasp on what all was going on and realized I had been out of the academy for 6 days lol. Not that Dust was easy, I was just thinking "man, if the academy is this tough, the real game must be hell" lol.
Best bet would seem to be just give people a stress free place to try out all the buttons, some weapons, maybe some scenarios with an NPC squad, vehicle basics, and thats it. Its really hard to train people for all the wacky sh*t regulars and vets can pull off in Dust, might as well throw them to the wolves. I feel you learn a lot faster if you arent made to feel somewhat safe. |

Ok, so here is where my confusion comes in, not only has the dispute between me and NJP been resolved between the 2 of us (your a few hours late at least), but I am not the OP. Go ahead and re-read from the beginning.
Lol, wow. You seem pretty fired up, you have nothing to do with the convo, you come out swinging, and you completely miss the target on all your assumptions. Which one of my posts hurt your feelings? |
