Ammo, range, +20% to shields, clip size, preference? I use both, I put the gek on my gal assault.

Best gun in the game for killing cal scouts imo.....

I can confirm that it melts my cal scout like no other, except perhaps an HMG. More often than not, I'm dead before I can react, it's that quick. Not that I'm complaining (HTFU and all), but thankfully use of this weapon is relatively limited.
Ive got a proto gal scout, double damp, proto cloak, but with only the crd9, no carthum needed, just for killing cal scouts.
