I Found the Claok and Shoot Delay!

Has anyone else noticed when you switch weapons you can't shoot as soon as new weapon is equipped? It used to be, in my recollection, I could press R1 before the weapon came up and it would start shooting immediately upon ready. Now, there is a delay. If I press R1 immediately, nothing happens. I must wait and press again. I've lost a few 1v1 that way; while I'm waiting for my SMG to kick in for the finish I get ganked by the bad guy. Perhaps it is that the only way they could get cloak-n-shoot delay to work was to code they delay for ALL weapon/equipment switches. I don't know, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it. I was playing today and it appears that whatever they did affects not just decloaking but also people who switch weapons or equipment. And it is a massively noticable delay. And no its not lag not when it happens every single match every single time i switch to a weapon or equipment I let my sniper rifle bullet to your face do all the talking :P

I thought I was hitting R2 again instead of R1. And how about when you switch weapons at the end of the clip, just when its about to auto reload, and come up with NO weapon in hand? I can make it happen repeatedly, but it is not a delay so much as an inability to shoot at all! If you are TOO FAST at the trigger and can flick from R1 to R2 and back to R1 before the new weapon is at the ready position, the weapon will not fire for as long as you hold R1; you must release and re tap R1 for it to begin shooting. I was able to cycle through both weapons in this manner dozens of times without either weapon firing once. Ironic. Having fast reflexes with the controller can actually be a BAD thing. I started a thread about it back then. I think all this may be part of the same problem. First weapon switch to no weapon,, then weapon switch back/reload and now weapon switch and not firing. I'm no longer sure it has anything to do with my cloak delay theory. See my last post. AKA - StarVenger

Cloak then draw weapon allows cloak energy levels to remain where they were. Also there is no logic behind flux nades not killing the cloak. Give me my scrambler pistol back....**
