And say 8:00 AM Friday - 8:00 AM Monday is the allotted time for each of the four weekends that the event takes place,
You shouldn't plan to have extended downtimes & not compensate for the time lost.
Everyone who has played for the event this weekend - Got screwed.

Uhh wut? There's no extended DT during the event, the event period (for this weekend) was over at DT today, so it being extended afterwards doesn't matter.
As for the unplanned yesterday... well that wasn't planned (but can be discussed how to be compensated if any).
