Another one has found the love of boats!
Unfortunately (or luckily depending on how you look at it) the one i was going to buy sank during the flooding this winter, while I have been on the look out for other ones, since I got another job offer in Japan.
I totally intend to get one at some point, I just may need to wait a bit. Good luck in getting yours!

Depending on your budget you could even get one built to specification. I called one boat builder for a quote out of interest as I had a nice nest egg saved, while obviously expensive, he started going on about awesome stuff like a fully solar roof with a separate electric propeller, fold away screen with HD projector to save space in the living room and heated underfloor! while I am a tech nut who needs her mod cons, I insisted that I wanted a wood burning stove, the guy then said he may be able to fit this, a stove that generates electricity!
while I had a nest egg, I unfortunately didn't have 130k to blow on it, if I had, i would have probably bought it!

It does sound awesome. I need to learn to swim better first though...
you don't really need to swim in a canal, the water only really goes up to just past your waist, tops.

Yeah its banging. In better waters, I will be able to fish out of my window while smoking a joint and work at the same time, I can't believe how good it is. The canals in mk are grim though so I don't think I'll be fishing anything but rubbish around here lol. My house feels like a prison now. you can fish in most canals, though only during certain times of the year with a licence.

where abouts in the UK do you live anyway, TechMechMeds? I'm in london currently, my plan was to buy one slightly further north where the prices are a bit better then make a holiday out of driving it down.
