how aboout instead of asking for a respect we make a convincing case on why CalScouts should continue to have precision as a racial trait (considering that the CalScout was marketed as a scout hunter).
Personally, I think it would be better if we lost the precision bonus, but had our suit's natural precision scan start at 35 db. That way when all scouts are at lvl 1 only the gallente scout can hide under our scans.
From there, if we continue to level up the scout suits, eventually amarr will beat us with their precision, but we can continue to be quite formidable as hunter scouts by stacking precision enhancements.
We'll never be able to match galscouts but that's ok because that's how the scouts (and precision enhancers vs profile dampners) were designed but we can still be good scanners if we decide to skill and fit in that direction. |

Interesting thought but ultimately the modules need to have the same percentages. Dampening grows exponentially over scanability on top of base stats. yeah, that's kind of the problem because lets say this did go through, a CalScout would have to devote two slots to counter a scout who is using 1 slot with a complex profile dampner.
But Since CalScouts have the highest number of high slots, it allows a Calscout to completely specialize in precision without having to gimp the suit too badly... I don't know. I thought it was kind of a good idea to have us start at 35 db to at least retain some sort of hunter status against other scouts that haven't taken the time to specialize in profile dampening. |
