If I am deploying uplinks, I take a dropship, not an ADS. Why would I take an ADS to deploy uplinks? It would be too vulnerable as I land, hop out, deploy and take off.
If I am in my dropship and I see an ADS attacking my uplinks or my team, then I will ram it. It's that simple. Do you honestly expect me to go land, return my ship, wait for the probationary period, call in an ADS, fly out to find the ADS and dog fight like civilized men? How long would that take? Or I could simply spot the ADS with my dropship and ram it on the way to my next waypoint.
My point is, I fly an ADS for anti-ADS warfare. I fly a dropship for uplink deployment. I understand the nuances of both, but I don't get why pilots call other pilots scrubs for using a ram tactic. It is a quick, viable attack and the ramming dropship often survives if the maneuver is performed correctly, while the rammed dropship often doesn't even see it coming.

So is JLAV.
Did you read the post, or simply respond to the title with a preconceived notion? The point is that ramming is a viable tactic.

Beld Errmon wrote:yes yes so you've said in every thread thats mentioned ramming recently, I look forward to seeing you in game, destroying your uplinks then destroying your dropships till you get ****** and spam swarms at me instead.
I don't think it will be a challenge tapping the top of your expensive ADS on the way to my next drop site, so keep looking up.
ADS pilots get so upset about having their ship destroyed that I have even offered them ISK so that they can have more fun: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=2070358#post2070358
The problem lately is that I've been getting a lot of hate mail from ADS pilots in game calling me a ramming scrub, which is not good sportsmanship. I simply started this thread to defend ramming as an effective attack procedure.
I am sorry for your loss, but I will touch the top of your fragile expensive ship with my measly 30k dropship. There is really nothing you can do about it. Just know that it is coming and that it is the deadliest risk to ADS pilots.
Be well.

I don't understand why you are accusing me of being a poor pilot simply because I use the ramming technique. I am a swell drop ship and ADS pilot, capable of keeping the best ADS pilots at bay with or without a turret. You can't handle these maneuvers, kid :P
