This would be amazing. I would even settle for the ability to destroy things if I don't want them cluttering up my assets.

Pokey Dravon wrote:The problem is that there is no actual "Sell to NPC" option in EVE, you can either sell it to another player, or process it into raw materials and sell that to other players or use it to make something else. That aside, I would love this feature, I just fear it may not be possible. why does everything has to be so complicated in this game? just a put a sell option there dammmmmmmmmmm

If this is going to be the case, then there will need to be more ISK SINKS to compensate because then you will see an influx of ISK coming into the game therefore it stands to reason that we need a way to remove that ISK. CCP can implement that in multiple ways at once.
1. Upkeep cost for using a District in PC. 2. An NPC sales tax on all sales made to the NPC.
I'm not sure what else to implement since we won't have a secondary market, no manufacturing, and other stuff (all that is going to Legion instead).

There is VERY simple implementation. - without a TOONS of coding -2 buttons - 'sell' and 'confirm' -2 line database - tranfer item and deduct ISK
Just select ONE dev account (Eve or Dust/Legion) and transfer all items to it what ppl need to sell :) Nice and easy.
If no dev want it... I can be like placeholder for it. (also Eve/Dust side) I can transfer 20% of isk for every item that you need to sell. You can put it at any station that you are. Dont worry I have transport and a BIG furnance for it :)
Not much time left...

Dust currently doesn't have the coding for transfering items, that would take a bit of time to add.
I think the simplicity you meant is "delete item" and "add ISK to wallet", which is the point of this topic. Getting rid of the random salvage you're not skilled into.
As overly complicated as coding is, "delete" and "add ISK" would be relatively easy for CCP to implement. I think.

Please link me to where CCP actually confirm that there will be nothing in DUST and it's all going into Legion instead. Prove it please. |

You only had one copy in MAG. So there was no need for selling. However, you could respec to get rid of mistakes. |

I played Defiance and that game had a simple, effective, trading option between players. You both offer something in a trading screen, if both of you agree then you both click "OK", done deal. If one of you didn't like the deal that person hit cancel, no deal. Simple. |

Truly a feature that should have been in the game since day 0.
Massive disappointed in that CCP never implemented it either, after so many promises.

That aside, I would love this feature, I just fear it may not be possible. CCP already has a sell-assets-to-NPC-market script because they have run it multiple times back when we got respecs. Don't think it would be too difficult to move that over to a player command per specific items.

That aside, I would love this feature, I just fear it may not be possible. Actually yes there is, but only for certain items. NPC's place buy orders in certain systems. Admittedly not for any meaningful items. Mostly just stuff like antibiotics which have no practical use in production.

This was one of those weird things that obviously should of existed in the kind of game dust is, some sort of player to player trading. I think the issue was CCP never implemented a NPC option because they planned to implement many things like a player market in Beta. Its pretty clear though that Dust got scrapped quickly after release and stripped down to a skeleton crew whose job it was to tweak the game around enough to stimulate aurum sales while they worked on future projects.
Beyond balances from Rattatai I wouldn't expect anything else to come from CCP. I suspect Rattatai's job is to patch up all the holes in the system left by the cut and run development job when Dust was shoved out of Beta and continue to stimulate Aurum sales until they have another project to place on the Tranquility server. Maybe Legion? Maybe EVE football space soccer golf in 3d holograms.... who knows. That said, Rattatai is doing a bang up job, just sadly he's doing so to a terminal game. |
