anyone tired of getting shot by scouts, only to see them vanish the second after they think they wont get an easy kill?
scouts need to commit to the fight a bit more. giving them reactivation delays keeps them in the fight longer (so we can teach them error of their ways) and makes them think twice before dropping their cloak to ambush you.
i know the assault scouts would hate it lol, but idc. they shouldnt be a thing in the first place, theyre competing with assaults too well.
im also in favor of giving cloaks activation cycles. when the cloak is deactvated, the cycle needs to finish before the player can perform any other action, such as switching to a weapon, or another piece of equipment, and certainly before being able to fire a weapon. its a strong change though that may not be needed if assaults become better. we'll see.

sure, but the cloak still lets you shoot while cloaked. it also lets them do this:
cloak, sneak up behind you, shoot while cloaked, instantly recloak, shoot the next guy that comes to revive the first guy while still cloaked, recloak again, leave.
theres no risk in that unless theres a guy off in the distance that happened to be watching when the whole thing happened. in that case the scout dies. but scout brick tank so they dont die fast enough before they recloak.
ive seen it all man. not saying its not impossible to defend against them, but you need another guy to do it. i had a logi with precision mods on him once. we saw all the those stupid scouts clear as day. was awesome, and they all got pretty pissed too lol |

being able to fire the second the cloak drops amounts to the same thing. which could be the case i experienced. its still wasnt humanly noticable. all i saw was nothing in front of me, then damage and scout all at once. not sure which came first, which is my point. i was expecting an actual chance to defend myself |

Keep an eye out, and you will catch on.
normally i do see them. but sometimes i cant, even when i know they are around or where they should be. not be able to force them out of cloak is an annoyance to me |
