Strafe Speed is too good. Backpedal Speed is too good.
Both should be reduced, albeit only slightly.

Good post.
I have seen players L/R far to rapidly with zero inertia , and some move two or three body widths before straffing in the opposite direction. The WASD two step does not need any enhancement and CCP should have fixed it already.
I can, to a degree, understand CCP's cost aversion to fixing netcode, but WASD dance enhanced by an unknown married to high latency in a low frame rate game are not a recipe for success ( forgot moded controllers )
Your criticisms are always valid, because if these things are not fixed and tested before legion-then CCP has learned nothing and will be truly blind to the obvious.

C'mon CCP .. Tell us your aware, tell us your addressing them in a larger patch at some point, just simply acknowledge that there are larger problems that need addressing. This is not the only post which raises some cruicial gameplay issues, there have been others too which i've seen you ignore, and yet flippantly reply to some issues to do with a colour imbalance... come on CCP your a 'game' developer, not a store front designer...

Aim assist+strafeing.. dosnt make much differance on heavy v heavy or med v med or even heavy v med that much.. but when it comes to SCOUTS they are the sole reason people ***** and whine about aim assist and strafing.
im against changes except maybe a UNIFORM speed for strafing instead of scouts being dominant.. and give commando's the same jump height as medium suits

If directional changes were smoothed (rather than instantaneous), I think we'd have fewer problems. I suspect "strafe acceleration" is more at issue that "strafe speed" ... but I'm no game designer :-)

in the case of scouts it is both acceleration* + speed* AND high jumping ontop, speed and acell needs a nerf but jumping.. id say thats fine as they are "light" after all.
in the case of heavy they have slow-slow acceleration+speed and crap jump, problem here is large hitbox slow speed = dead real quick unless your a sentinel.. with the stamina used for a heavy to jump they should at-least jump as high as mediums and for commando they should have the same(or atleast better then heavy/sent) strafing speed/acceleration and jump as medium suits as commando are "stripped out" of most all protection as per their description use dual light weapons and no heavy slot/sidearm/grenade
now medium suits.. idk about every one else but i feel these are the best balanced but untill something is done people will just keep useing cal scout with its OP shield tank+movement+strafe+jump to out shine any and all other suits
